Give us all a break. PLEASE!!! In an effort to take our eyes off of Peyton's major screwup in the SB, the sports writers are now reporting that Peyton Manning saved a woman's life (he didn't it's a lie). Supposedly, she lost her daughter 5 years ago and couldn't bring herself to watch football. One day she sees Peyton win a game with a comeback and now her life is all better.
Is there no shame with these sports writers, and is there nothing they won't do or depth they won't sink to so as to get us to award Peyton the title of best ever, just like they award him MVPs and records not earned.
Frankly, it's getting sickening. Peyton did a commercial with Montana and that is as close as he is ever going to get to him. Can we fire all the sports writers and get a new crop? They are disgusting, using a dead child to prop up there beloved Peyton. Thought Archie raised better kids than to accept this kind of crap reporting.

The Broncos were a joke, a comedy of errors from start to finish. But Seattle was faultless and even a decent Denver team would not have beat them.

This lie is just one of many told by the Peyton loving sports writers. This one is just more aggregious and over the top. Their intent is to use a dead child to extort sympathy from the viewing public, get you to see Peyton in a positive light, so their other lies will be more readily accepted. This is how they try to change the immediate subject/topic of the day, so you won't focus on the historic choke job Peyton pulled off in the Super Bowl (which will instill a retained negative view of the guy). If they can change the subject and in a positive way (but boy oh boy, this is a lie of Clintonesque stature) they are hoping future attempts at convincing you he is the greatest will stick. That boat has sailed.
People already know Peyton had to play in a dome so his ducks wouldn't go way off targets.
That he had to have superior receivers to create bigger windows for ducks to fly through. That he had to have a league best Oline to protect him long enough for him to figure out where to throw the ball. And a sports media to call him cerebral to cover up that's exactly what he is not.
As proven by Seattle on the field, and also as explained thoroughly by their players most recently. The best offense ever (if you don't discount for having the best four receivers ever, the leagues bet Oline and the 2nd easiest schedule) and he couldn't read a defense. Something the sports writers harp on time and again. Well if he can read why couldn't he read this one. Was it not written in a language he understands, like football? Or is he a product of those great receivers, great Oline, and the benefits of playing in the thin air and in a dome. How can sports writers not know this. Answer, they can't. Sooo, they must be exaggerating to the max to make a buck all while pulling the wool over your eyes. Peyton was clueless and couldn't read crap. Could he ever? Or is it just his superior receivers first in Indy and now in Denver and all the other advantages he's had. It's like smoke and mirrors or the great and powerful Oz. the NFL needed a hero, they just picked the wrong guy and keep doubling down on him and he keeps losing. Time the NFL and sports writers play it honestly for a change. They make New Orleans and New England look like their past bad actions where but a drop in the bucket. A bucket the NFL and sports writers completely filled up.
