No, "we" don't.

<quoted text>SA is not me but you know what is stupid and even more amusing? You sending Mike a link to get on a thread that can't be accessed otherwise because it's hidden, in order to stir things up. That makes him your lap dog and you, um, a master of some sorts?
Now go ahead, say you didn't and have never fed him info via PMs LMAO. <rolling eyes> And I used to laugh at the jumping of hoops Pie made him do LOL
I sent Mike a link? Really? Hmmm, if you go to forum search, anyone can access this poll.(just type in a key word) And like you, that USA poster has been on since this poll started so it would show up in his/her replies. Good try Geno! Why would I have to send ANYONE a link to this thread? And really, what would it matter if I did?(though I didn't) Good grief, you people get so paranoid trying to figure things out then try and pass it on as fact.

<quoted text>You sound like me in the way that our aging parents are beginning to take up a lot of our time. I don't mind, I owe and love them so much; but that doesn't lessen the demands/pressure, as our own lives take a back seat some days...or weeks, lol. I can't tell you how many days I spent in some hospital, doctor's office or diagnostic center this Spring. That and my parent's yard has extensive landscaping and a pool. Dad's not able to keep up as it is and taking care of mom he has less time too. I'm thinking I'm going to remove several of their beds and turn them into part of the lawn. Wish a tree would just fall on that pool, lol.
Have fun in that river, think of me; as it's too cold yet for swimming here!
My husband said it was 115 at home yesterday. Here it was supposed to be in the 90's but never felt that way. I just want to take my dad home with me but he won't go, too many of his doctors are here and he won't leave this house!(he's owned it for 50 years)

Y'all, it boils down to this; I could go on all day about who hit who first, who did the worst thing, and who is the worst person. Point is that I decided that something gave me permission, to try to inflict hurt on another person on purpose with my words. Period. Maybe it bounced off of a secure person's psyche, maybe it didn't. I don't really know. But it was poison to me, a dark road where I ended up looking and acting a lot like the 'bad person' I was attacking. If you feed it, it will grow.
We've all done this. We all gave ourselves permission, whether the reasons were valid or invalid.(which is extremely subjective, BTW)
You may strike a blow here and there, but you're beating the hell out of yourself with every post.
I will still be blunt, honest and a smartazz. But I'm reclaiming the original reason I came to offbeat, I like folks. And I thing people can be hilarious, especially when bantering about weird news or playing off the comedy of another. Laughter.
I've always been good at being kind and compassionate in real life. This isn't some free pass because it's a message board. I'll never lose sight of that again.
All of you, have a great day. Peace.

Perhaps you should stop fanning the flames yourselfand try to make Topix a more civil place. I suspect that many of those times HH lashed out were akin to attacks made by an injured animal except that her injuries were the product of being trolled. Although I do not excuse her excesses in the past, I cannot excuse her detractors' either. It seems like some here just love a bloodbath.

Once again, that poster has been on since day one. But go ahead and think what you want, you always do and are hardly ever right. So again, who was HEE? Remember all the polls accusing Bex? Just like you're doing now. Even Harley knows it's not her! Funny how you don't like it but will do it to others!

Leaves in AZ? Actually up at the 50 acres we bought in Williams AZ it very woodsy. Where I live now, you would NEVER catch me doing yard work. Way too hot and no leaves. I'm at my dads house in Redondo Beach and boy does he have leaves. He has this one huge tree in front that also as these sticker ball thingy's, when they fall off they're green but when they dry, they are brown and hurt like h3ll when you step on them. I've been doing all his planting for him since last week. Hopefully, I'll be going home this week depending on how my dad is doing. It's going to be in the 90's here today and my husband called and told me it's 115 at home.
Did you know this thread is now underground?

Underground, yeah I knew Monday too.

It's hard living 4 1/2 hours away. It really pisses me off that my meth head sister lives 1/2 hour away and never comes by unless she needs money. My ex and my son both come by twice a week on different days to check on him and then they report back to me. My son usually only sees him when he's sitting in his recliner but when we went to the USS Iowa this last weekend, he finally saw what I have been telling him about the shortness of breath and the falling. Now my son is on board with me and will watch him closer.

Sorry to hear about your sis, that sucks. And that's good of your ex, I'm still close to my former MIL too. And thank God your son realizes how he's needed! I'm the oldest of five; you'd think I'd have a little more help; but one of them is a single father of three small girls, the others work all the time and have small kids of their own. Being self-employed, an empty-nester, and the only one who understands the doctors and specialists on a technical level it's falling naturally to me. Oh well. All we can do is cherish them while they're here, and know when they're gone that we will be so glad of the sacrifices we're making now. SOME of us won't have any regret stored-up for our own quiet years.
Hang in there.

Nice post Paisley. I am inclined to say the same things as you posted here.
Thanks Chicky! I've got errands to run; my machine is in the shop at least until the weekend and it's too windy to spray herbicide in cultivated beds. My daughter is off today and wants me to pick up her and my grandson just to be with me while I run around. Life is good.
Have a great afternoon, hope you get that ride. I'm hoping to get a kayak run around the island in later, too.

I am sorry to hear that and I can understand how you feel. Having a substance abusing sibling can be hell. I had a brother who died one day before his 39th birthday of liver failure. I am not sure whether is was the booze itself or the hepatitis A,B, and C (he had all three) likely obtained from sharing dirty needles that actually did him in. He was also a shameless thief and spent time in the clink. The whole family was ashamed of him.

Lest you get the wrong idea, I grieved over his death, even though he was a rotten excuse for a brother. If you only knew what things he did to his own family.

Thank you, FBCO! My brother for whatever reason (no drug or alcohol) committed suicide back in 2005 @ 42. My mother two years and one day prior to the anniversary of his death also committed suicide. We still don't know the reason for my brother, he was a deacon in his church and very well remembered by them as the guy that would help you anytime, anywhere and anyplace. My mothers death is no mystery. Who knows what any of us would do if we lost one of our babies?

"liver" not "lover" darn spellcheck...I hear what you are saying & my bro hurt his wife(they divorced) & children very deeply & worried my parents a lot, but he always knew he was loved...at his death I was just saddened that such talent, such potential, was wasted...

I also lost a brother to cancer (not his fault) and another one to having a second wife who carried the wrong disease. It was his own fault in a way as he couldn't keep it in his pants and could never be faithful to any woman. Otherwise he would have stayed true to his first wife and would never have had a second marriage to a woman with an ex-boyfriend who contracted AIDS by sharing dirty needles and gave it to her. and his first marriage was necessitated when he cheated on his fiance and got the other woman pregnant.

My own first wife left me for an alcoholic 15 years her senior. She died of cancer almost 14 years ago and her second husband resumed drinking and died a few years later himself. In spite of that, I remained on good terms with my ex-mother-in-law who was a very dear lady. Sometimes real life is stranger than a soap opera.
