Oh, and the holiday traditions are changing, but I'm not too sure it's the fault of the retailers. If the people weren't there, the retailers wouldn't be open.

We should all boycott them just for one day. These greedy grubbers, like they don't have enough money.

Interesting article floating around. With all the merges we are down to about 10 companies, in the grocery department areas. I think they merge to hold their heads above water, which is q good thing. But there are some bad things to this I could imagine. Like charging what they want due to less compitition, kinda like a Monopoly.

I predict these companies will break off on their own again, when their business is doing well. Soon we'll be up to 20 companies again.

I think things like this go in cycles, so there is no need for panic.

Just my thoughts

How about thinking of the people who work at these stores...they don't really want to be there...do they get a say here???

We stay home on those days. We went once or twice in the last twenty years and that was enough for us.

That's what I thought Marissa. These employees have to cut their thankgiving plans short n go it to work the craziest night of the year. Could you imagine being thanksgiving day kinda full n have to work half the night. Omg I couldn't do it. I just want to lay around n rub my belly whining about how I ate too freaking much.

My guess is they do have a say, but they can say "I'll be there" or be looking for work.
