Meaning His Football Professional Career..SHOULD NOT be Hampered by his PUBLIC SPEECH of HIS being GAY!!

GAYS are making a Statement..Especially THOSE in the Public Eye..

You seem as if you have some type of problem with this. I stated my thoughts.

Your last statement says it all..You defend and attack from the same platform. Very loser there.

so let us take it to brass tacks..

You state and conclude that I would see this different then watching two lesbians. This is your logic, for all to read. Now, you try to compare it to some feeling I would be harboring regarding the same act between two men. You then attempt a pedestal of superiority by slapping in your little 'rofl'..
Really.?
If you could possibly even comprehend what I posted you would have , even if you were semi-cognitive of logical thinking , you would have simply said you disagree and why..

So, other then being a complete d!ck, is there any other thing you would like to say to me that I won't be laughing at for the next 2 hours ?

That's right! Bishop Romney had no business parading his wife and spawn around in public like that during his hilarious, craven, pretend run for President.(The last one, I mean.)

People's sexual orientation should be kept _private_.

All the other players like oral from men?

Can we still say Sam is the first openly gay player then?

How dare he have a personal opinion on anything? Doesn't he know he's supposed to consult all the latest polls before he decides what his deeply held personal beliefs are?

Your posts sound like those of a woman, that's all.

Yes, there is a problem with how such homophobic tweets are handled. Rather than allow the bigots to frame this as a free speech issue, we should invoke the example of a pro athlete expressing kkk views. No one would (publicly) defend a tweet like that as "free speech."

So the discussion is not about free speech. The discussion is whether homophobic bigotry is just as pernicious as racism.

It is in educated circles. And the tee baggrz and fundies are going to learn this one way or another.(Of course they're racists, too, but perhaps not as openly or virulently as the out and out kkk types are.)

There's that odd, tee baggrz construction that because it's a "personal opinion" it can't be ignorant or bigoted or indefensible or have consequences.

Who knows? Maybe the Fox infected brigades are thinking confusedly of libel law.

I had considered taking my teen boys to watch the football season. However; what I wanted them to see was football. Now with this controversy; I will leave them at home to their own accord. Not that I have a problem with what anyone does in their bedroom; but, I do NOT kiss my bf in front of them. Darned if I am going to condone anybody else doing it.

Thinking about it, I am very afraid of what kind of superbowl ads will appear this year..........

You seem to be assuming an awful lot. No where did I state that I agreed or disagreed with Mr Jones' opinion, nor did I state that I was a follower of the tea party or that I watched Fox news. What I did say was that people are allowed to have their own personal opinions and to express those opinions on their personal Twitter page (although why anyone would have a twitter page is still a mystery to me)

In your rush to find something to be offended by, you have overlooked the fact that Petal Power seems to be agreeing with your position. I might suggest that you actually read her post this time.

So, you are saying that all men and all women think exactly alike? That sounds extremely sexist. The company you work for should slap you with a huge fine.

Of course you have a problem. You never complained about Bishop Romney kissing his wife in public. Of course you have a problem...both with lgbt people simply identifying themselves in public as such and with what "they do in the bedroom." But we obviously don't care what you have a problem with.

So now homophobes won't let their kids join the only semi bigoted Boy Scouts, go to NFL games (the NHL is far more pro lgbt, by the way,) can't stomach institutions of higher education since they're all for lgbt equality, and can't be open about their sexual illness of homophobia in 498 companies of the Fortune 500.

I call that a future!

But you didn't actually say that an NFL player could express a "personal opinion" of kkk support.

So it's not a free speech or "opinion" issue. It's about how odious your therefore obvious homophobia is going to be regarded as.

And the NFL is answering that question.

And don't "pretend" not to grasp my point again, Jethro.

You're making things up again. I said that poster sounds like a female. I didn't say all posters claiming to be male sound like females.

Perhaps you have a problem with basic logic.
