I'm all in favor of the democratic principle that one idiot is as good as one genius, but I draw the line when someone takes the next step and concludes that two idiots are better than one genius.

Naivety, commonly used, signifies voidance of….

Experience….knowledge….wisdom!

Naivety is but a vision of trusting human beings

Within a trusting world.

But Projected Naivety

is drawn by the Brushless Artist.

This is but naivety in another realm….

Projected Naivety….

Saves others from shame, embarrassments, insults.

Projected Naivety, is filled with....

Compassion and empathy

For the truly naïve.

It is sometimes better to use this gem;

Projected Naivety

to save someone from shame and disgrace.

The gardener clothes himself with leaves,

Hides in the bushes,

Where the stealer of his produce cannot see him,

Less he feel ashamed and embarrassed for stealing.

This gardener’s heart glows with the gem of….

Projected naivety!

A compassionate heart for those who do not,

Who refuse to, know better.

Who refuse to know better…the gift-less!

Yet, Projected naivety never lets you know.

The Artist paints with the imaginary brush,

A brilliant, beautiful gem….within the heart….

Projected Naivety….

It never lets you know.

The artist,

Sits,

Thinks,

Sieves.

The artist,

Paints

Silently,

without canvas,

Hues,

Oils;

Brushless!

Abstract….yet well defined….perfect.

The artist!

Alone….but never lonely!

The artist;

The sage!

The Kaleidoscope of the mind!

The brilliant mind!

The artist!

The Scales….whose function is devoid of Naivety;

Projected or not, these do not inspire The Scales,

Neither conspire!

Work together, work against; neither.

The Scales sits majestically, sturdily on its foundation.

Balances yet never wavers!

Balances the measure of The Juggler,

The Chemist, Discipline,

in the quest for the Masterpiece.

Balances, the measure of finesse;

The amount, the refinement

In the quest for the Masterpiece.

The Scales….a unique art of balancing;

A desired treasure;

Yet on which The Jewel- Box sits.

Yes, The Scales introduces The Jewel-Box;

Greater yet, The Joker!

The brushless Artist paints them all.

The Scales….a unique measure of brilliance!

The Juggler....juggles constantly;

Using precision and perfection.

Sees, not with the natural eye but with the inner eye….

His eye; the only eye.

Filters; keeps, dispenses, eradicates.

The Juggler juggles constantly;

People, events, situations and circumstances….

The tale, the story, the fable, the myth….History!

The Juggler juggles; unceasingly.

Constant companion of Discipline.

Interpret, select, organize!

Junk….the spam of life.

The Juggler dispels the debris.

Empty vessels, disintegrates….disappears.

The Juggler keeps, possesses, protects the rest.

The mind’s eye at work; never-ending.

The Juggler chooses to see; only what he could see.

The Juggler performs….juggles the Masterpiece;

Brings to perfection.

The brilliance of the eye; the inner eye;

The Juggler....

That's Me!

Search in me every sin and set free
Search in me the man that my mind destines to be
Search in me that all my future can see
Search in me thru the unexpected there may ever so be
Search in me all days from nights
Search in me a star that shines sun bright
Search in me ways I think things thru
Search in me with wise words both clear and true

In this world of fear she dreams of her sunrise
Collecting the pieces thru yesterday's eyes
Unlocking all doors, nothing to recognize
Connections are broken, she sadly sighs

She thinks she is praying, when speaking each day
All her yesterday treasures are hidden away
I speak soothing words, she has nothing to say
She has already left this world in her own way

Her memories of me now covered in dust
Her storehouse of life is the color of rust
The eyes I meet show some mistrust
Grasp the reality, face what you must

Her pockets are lined with nothing but dreams
Which wander in her mind, now torn at the seams
If I could unlock her love, I know it still gleams
Her tear blotched pages, stain empty themes

I pray in the darkness, she's hidden in smoke
My outstretched hands touch death in a cloak
I would dance and sing if ever she awoke
But I am not God and can't fix what's broke

Mama, I am here

TO MY MOTHER

My actions have always been so clear
Don't face the things that cause you fear
Inside my throat , muscles close tight
I watch the battle, I see the fight

Her mind is wandering, slowly away
I've begged her please try to stay
Read and write, just try to fight
Stay here with me, another night

You must remember, that's your son
Can't you remember, he's the one?
He cried and cried, you walked the floor
His pain you soothed he cried no more

I watch you leave me every day
My friend my mom, don't go away
I long to hear you call once more
And say "let's shop" the nearby store

You now just sit, all lost in there
Please don't leave me mother dear
I seldom allow myself to cry
But now I watch you, slowly die

My heart is breaking, no one should see
How bad this aches inside of me
My tears are falling, rain from the sky
I've begged 'Him' mama "don't let her die"

I Love you Mama, don't watch me cry
I know you'll leave, I know you'll die
But on this day we'll sit and play
I know you'll go, but right now, you stay.

She walked on stage wearing all white
Stilling the echoes; it was opening night
Violin in place, she faced stage right
She gave a nod toward the dimming of the light

Her green eyes on fire, red hair as flames
Serenading in colors, tones pranced as games
The strings were as lullabies, musical names
The crème de la crème, gents and their dames

She let herself go, she felt the stare
Her eyes on him, her modern Voltaire
High in the balcony, with his croix de guerre
He'd flown in from Australia, her liebchen, Devine

Her concert concluded with a rose covered floor
A final bow, she walked through the door
The white-capped waves lapped at the shore
On the balcony she waited for her paramour

Quietly she nestled with the whispering sea
With wind kissed hair as she waited to be
In the angle of forever, everlastingly free
He was her world, he was all she could see

Warm days of summer, with foolish dreams
Wisp me to a brook of whispering satin streams
Wrap me in a cloak of honeysuckle's delight
Ride me on a moonbeam, warm my winter's night

We'll play as leprechauns, string raindrops as pearls
Swing from a rainbow, become lollipops in swirls
We'll trellis the sky in streamers made of mink
And run with the thunder without even a blink

We'll sip a daydream, that from the night air falls
Through the narcotic breeze as tranquility calls
See violets that slumber inside speckled blues
As we paint our own world in pearlescent hues

When time needs a rest, and the sky starts to yawn
We'll snuggle on Jupiter or any planet we're on
We'll sprinkle our thoughts along sugar plum aisles
Eat bits of samara, as we polish our smiles

She fell to her knees in the early hours of dawn
Tears fell on the Bible, the curtains were drawn
He'd disappeared, without a word being said
On her knees she prayed, was he alive or dead?

She was at her lowest in life that day
She had her own plans, be it come what may
Where would she turn, who would she call?
Her world was too big, little girl too small

He was always such a rebellious child
No matter her plans, he yearned to be wild
Raised in church, attended Sunday School
She gave him to God; yet he broke every rule

She was too broken when she knelt to pray
Her spirit was weary, not a word could she say
She heard a voice, and to the window she turned
"I never left, child; it was my love you spurned"

She'll never forget the most awesome feeling
When God talked to her, assured her of healing
That very same day the phone call came in
"It's only me, mom, can I come home--once again?"
