There's an Amazonian tribe which has no name for time, dates or ages. Its people even have no solid names. They change their names for whatever situation they are in...which gives me the notion that they must have some concept, theory or philosophy of time.

We can measure how things move with devices which predict when a cycle will start and end. Every thing we know of in nature works according to cycles. Our understanding of time itself is just a man made way to gauge movement. The idea that there is a past or a future has clouded the fact that all there is "is" current movement of things now. The past is not existent except in records of it and the future is just a hoped for prediction of movements to be made. All that exist is in the ever present NOW. signed:MTO

The arrow of time is linear and mono directional. It doesn't pass at the same rate for everyone though.(Light speed, and gravitational equations)
Time will end with the heat death of the universe, when everything approaches absolute zero and all change stops and nothing happens and will continue to not happen forever.(Entropy)
At least that's what Brian Cox says.

Time will tell though.

time is a modern man made concept. Pre-historic man had no need to measure time... he ate when hungry, slept when tired, and if his wife had to go to work in the morning and they weren't finished making whoopie, they would just stop :-)

'I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler, I'm a long way from home
And if you don't like me, well, leave me alone
I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry
And the moonshine don't kill me, I'll live til I die'

Ticking away the moments
That make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours
In an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground
In your home town
Waiting for someone or something
To show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then the one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun
And you run and you run
To catch up with the sun
But it's sinking
Racing around
To come up behind you again
The sun is the same
In a relative way
But you're older
Shorter of breath
And one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation
Is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say
