"MOTHER CHURCH and THE CONFIDENCE TRICKSTER."

False sermons:
lies given as life lessons.

The pseudo-righteous
committing sins behind locked doors.

They stand tall –
proud and egotistical:
the epitome of hypocrisy,
like narcissists preaching modesty,
thieves teaching integrity,
liars blessing honesty.

They’re glorified, romanticized:
god-like idols feigning purity,
using religion to manipulate,
abusing the devotion of the naive.

Followers fall to their knees
in the name of their beliefs,
taught to them by gilded demons
dressed up in suits.

But eventually,
their masks will crackle.

In death,
their veils will fall.

Promises Beyond Poetry......
Debbie, the beginning and ending
may already have been written,
but the chapters in-between
are mine to write.
I will make mistakes
that cannot be erased
and my pen will falter
but never fall.
I will not always like
to read them back,
but the chapters
are mine to write.
It's easy to give up writing
have done it quite oftentimes
to focus on harder things
and not waste on easy rhymes!
Each time I give up the pen
achieve some wonderful feat
I am that man once again
who does for others little bit!
Whenever give the keys rest
close the door of poetry-land
come upon a chance not to waste
to extend someone a helping hand!
Times I clipped the bard's wings
landed my mind on the ground
met these eyes many things
doing which joys knew no bound!
Divine DeVine ! It has been a pleasure reading the gifts you have given for others to appreciate, or ridicule - the choice was left to us that read your posts. I chose the former in the short time I have been here. Thank you for the gift. Sincerely....

“Thank you, it has been my pleasure to know you, and let me add, that is, the nicest thing I think that I’ve heard all day.”

“What a kind and most generous thing to say.”

You sound as though you're leaving here permanently, could that be so ?

Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power.

Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.

And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with your country, isn't there?

Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression.

And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.

How did this happen? Who's to blame?

Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be?

War, terror, disease, indigence, racial intolerance, poverty, penury, deprivation, hardship .

There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense.

I would love to say we should love others
Just as truly and deeply as we love our children

But given the childhood of many
That would be condemning us all to hell

Better to say we should love others
As we would have chosen to be loved as children

When Jesus Christ said "Suffer the little children" he did not mean literally
Of that much I am sure

My soul
burns
for freedom
of the mind.

I am not a fan
of your secrets
and your devotion
why we pretend
if it's not real
there's no emotion

Let's make a plan
another story
of morning glory
I want to live
just let me go
before it's over

Darling, I recommend
your heart's on fire
go out and use it
before you're older
all those fears
will make it colder

Right there and then
I see you smiling
years you've been waiting
that time is over
your arms around his
neck and shoulders

Honey, I know
where this story goes
just one kiss
and you lose control
and it's perfect
and your body knows
and your soul knows
and your heart knows
and your skin knows
and your fingers know
and your eyes know
and your ears know
and your lips know
and you know
and you know
don't let go...

Dark waters ripple thought.
horse drawn carriage tread
voltaic wires, throbbing brain.
lorn elation until osculation
of lips dreamt nightly.
nectarous skin float
between raptured fingers
everlasting sand blown
from ashes wrought with
doubt.
paroxysm of senses like electric eels
wreck ties bound by vituperation.

Breath like honeyed vapour,
encased rouged cheeks.
savoured time in bottles, minutes
turned to minerals mined.
hours of golden flecks
splashed in synthesized
unison.

New always, love evermore.

I hunger,
For my youth.
For those lazy,
Hazy, crazy,
Sperm-filled days.
When my eyes
Feasted with devilment,
Instead of mockery,
Upon the young
School of nymphs
That swam up
And down the corridors
Like silver darlings
Of the sea

The wonderment
Puzzlement
Of the flesh.
Memories of
Soft bouncy buttocks,
Budding breasts,
Licentious legs,
That tormented,
Teased, pleased
That frenzied, wild
Stirrings of my loins.
How I loved life then,
With it's silent promise
Of great things to come.

Never-ending, incessant inspiration, is welcomed by the hand
Sweetly held treasured from the very start
As a silken caress of soothing persuasion, stirring the steady flow
Of your imagination, nestled gently in your heart

A release of cherished wonders, splendid in their course
Dignify the expression in their flow
With the breath of enticing bits of passionate emotion
Gratifying in their bliss, pleasing as they show

Deeply captivating is the gravitation to incessant inspiration
Ensnaring and hypnotizing the consenting soul
To express admiration with a measure of immense flourish
As an exhale of unrestrained emotion with no control

If you find you are intensely drawn into this sweet continuum
Of fascination gently rippling in the flow
Treasure the inspiration nestled gently in your heart
Express your imagination in the show

The classic touch of time and wisdom meld,
Holding knowledge, bearing witness to life,
Exposing small wisps of experiences,
Teaching, ever learning, guiding feet along the path.

Sound and sense, straightforward to direct,
Culling waste and wanton distractions,
Feeding, nurturing, expanding outward
Building others as well to success.

Wisdom and experience shared, serve only
To increase the givers own,
Working for no the lifetime,
But for the life, the working time provides.

Dare to to eulogize a living man,
Follow only the lead of respect,
In return respect will find you,
And all its benefits you shall claim.

"HOLY TRINITY."

Man of science,
Only sees what is there,
Wants to build the fence.

Man of religion,
Out of nothing sees everything,
Wants to envision the fence.

Man of philosophy,
Out of everything sees nothing,
Wants to sit on the fence.

I hear echoes that have no voice,
Sad before the vaulted tongues
Over brimmed, who spill on shunted ears
The sour milk of pressed pictures
And sooted lights of lime
And the golden knobs taste
Jarring-dry to their saw dust toes.
Must the babe be chosen
By its mother?

*
*

The sea dirt is lined with woollen shawls
And the chasm shout shall dig our graves,
Throated hollow, to the abyss, we sink our six
And spade the dirt, call not them the spades.

*
*

I hear echoes that have no choice,
But to skim the moated land
And wash well eyes with leaven walls
That tease and prod the sum to crushing
Columns lifted shoulder
High by zeros of kneeling numbers
Worming in bedded slumber.
Must the maker of builders
Be dismantled?

*
*

The sea dirt is lined with woollen shawls
And the chasm shout shall dig our graves,
Throated hollow, to the abyss, we sink our six
And spade the dirt, call not them the spades.

A troll did go trolling
in a pretty poetry glade
his tormenting trolling
'twas not pleasant of escapade

poets were most distressed
at him calling at their digs
which did constantly ruffle
all the nest's sprigs and twigs

of little concern 'twas
the writer's haven of tranquillity
the troll kept on trolling
in his usual vogue of incivility

one is aware and alert
to the troll's taunting patrol
he's haunting omnipresence
is well out of control

'tis a safe bet that he'll appear
when he chooses to do so
which will cause all the poet's
stacks to explosively blow
