Interested because I happen to do a little too and in a show of "infinite wisdom" the powers that be declared selling wood by the cord illegal,it now must be in metric. Ergo, great unwashed now have to buy their wood in cu. metres which is fine....BUT...the old cord is now 3 cu.m.........hahaha...a quick burst with a calculator will show the slight difference........8x4x4 equals 3.6m..! hahaha...Money for nothing and your.....

Everything keeps shrinking except the National budget needs.

Average for 'city folks'$50/rick
$35 to those that know better. LOL
Some buy it by the pickup load, less than a cord for $100 to $150 and if they don't know better it will be a lot of soft wood
You gota watch them Hillbilly's! ain't none of'm as dumb as they act.

Where I'm at 4'4'8' is called a federal cord and mostly bought by those that have the outdoor style wood furnaces,
4'8'2' is considered a face cord and used indoors.
