Did you notice that the entire show of Deep Space 9 centers around the BAR yet no one is drinking real booze.
Star Treks.

Thank you for the DS9 reference. It shouldn't be dismissed.

Benjamin Sisko was fine by me as part of the Enterprise commanders.

And BTW peeps ....

Picard is French; he is Jean-Luc -- was born to Maurice and Yvette Picard in La Barre, France, on July 13, 2305...

Although Leah was pretty hot on Jabba's barge.
No Star Wars!! They just didn't have enough women! LOL
Think about it they whole is Leah or Amadala?? Nothing else?

And Jadzia Dax was not just eye candy! or Kyra?! She could probably kick Worf's butt and definately Hans Solo! What about the Doctor on Picard's staff she was intelligent and ... I liked her. I wanted her to adopt me. lol
What about that mental woman... the Picard one with the empathetic powers... can't remember her name she was Brit too...?

Star wars wasn't a TV series so it is rather hard to compare the two.
The original series bugged me, it probably had much to do with the era, the 70s was a interesting time to grow up, the battle of the sexes, lol.

calm down, dude! In the words of "igloos are blue" in a previous post, it was annoying to me to see the French character's name misspelled and the hyphen missing.

[yes, the actor is Brit, and you're the first to write that]

in fairness, I reckon Sisko didn't command a starship? Mea culpa on that technicality.

But Sisko was still cool! I liked his character, kinda of like a mish mosh of Picard, Kirk, and Mimbari (if you saw Bablyon 5)...

This is true as well. Star Wars was only a movie but Lucas could have done more instead of being to greedy! I keep thinking of Star Wars the spoof by Mel,.. something where the force is the schwartz! And Yoda is Yogurt and the power of the schwartz is... controlled by a ring that LOL .... you know... LOL

He did, didn't he! I guess Worf must have had quite .... a "Klingon charm".

Wasn't Mother Troi Rodenberry's real-life wife? The nurse Chappell of the original series??

Spock was awesome! Still is! My father actually had me try to do the vulcan salute when I was little... "You're not Vulcan," was his response however years later I did flip him over ..... I wonder if he thought I was Klingon?
