President Bush's 'no child left behind' educational program has apparently produced some very capable students.

So..........When I was controlling planes in Key West, sometimes we would have a tour come through. We would let them talk to the planes with our direct supervision and they were to say exactly what we told them.

So what is the big deal? Growing up as a kid, did people never go to work with their parents at some point and actually help out? I did, helped my father in the office while he was stationed in Oslo in the Navy.

And, let me guess...now, you work at a Motel Six?
IF you were a traffic controller, then you know by FAA regulations, that is not allowed.

Obviously, you are too stupid to understand any answer to that!

Please have the kid direct the flights of all those posters who seem to think it's okay to do this.

Sorry, kids and visitors OUT of the control tower.

Crazy!

Glad someone reported it.

Next Malia will be talking to Iran's supreme leader (when she's not nibbling on the pie with her dad).

whats the big deal??!! Wow, yes, it's innocent in nature but the ramifications of it all of what could have gone wrong are far exceeding. Just the thought of this dad's head not fully focusing on his job, but placing all his attention on his boy, for one. Then the little rule about no visitors at all including relatives. Sounds like anyone can get into that tower.

I remember the airport in Key West - about the size of a restroom. That's a bit different than JFK. Although I agree with you in principal, times have changed - security etc. I imagine they must be much more selective on who has access to a control tower, especially at an airport like JFK.

I heard the child speak. He was mirroring his dad's speech, who was obviously right there with him. The pilots seemed amused over the incident and told that kid, "Good job." BTW, there are surgeons who bring their sons to work with them in the OR.
