So the intent is that even bad guys ain't all bad???
Guess had they shot him, they would've subsequently 'unshot' him.

Is this supposed to be a "feel good" piece? Muggers are people too?

They probably cut him some slack because their pockets were already full of other people's money; and maybe this would take the guilt away until the next sucker walks around the corner. Damn, if this is patriotism, then there's a a shit load of patriots locked up.

It's nice to know that they cut the guy some slack because he was in the Army. I don't think that would have made an iota of difference here. And, this type of offense is quite common and Malaysian robber(s) don't give a shit who you are or where you're from. So, maybe you do have more patriotic criminals (in jail too) over there than what we have here. Patriot or otherwise, a 'gun' or a 'prang' is still a bitch of a problem. Oh, before I forget, Matt, could you pass this along Manatee Man cause you're both from the same town and it might be of interest. Thanks.

It would have been an even better story if the GI had beaten them to a bloody pulp.

Surely not I.

I think she was talking about one of her mugger boyfriends.
