Flying car could roll (fly?) out in 2015

It's really hard for me to decide whether to make a "Jetsons" quip here or a "Back to the Future" reference.

What could possibly go wrong with having 50 million or so of those bad boys flying around?

Or even worse, spit one deep from the bronchial tubes out the window.

But that's actually an odd thought-now if someone can get hurt by a penny that had dropped from 500ft above, then would stuff thrown from these hovering cars hurt spectators below?
Not sure if the mucus would crack a skull, but it would damn sure sting like hell.

In fact, another question, was there actually people living on the land below the environment where the Jetson's lived?

Imminent engine failure. Dropping from 1000ft above would raise auto-insurance premiums sky high (no pun intended).

People would be fine. Use a parachute like device connected to a ejection seat. But it would stink if you had some groceries in the trunk while the vehicle took a plunge. Racoons below would get fat.

Just wondering how a high speed case would end with these cars?

Or better yet! Where would this end?

I would be happy if they just made them rise up far enough for me to get in and out of a parking space!

The parachute concept gives a whole new meaning to having folk dropping in for a visit.

Or, their vehicle landing in one's living room.

LOL
Be careful, mother-in-laws may drop in on unsuspecting son-in-laws while she is still driving in vehicle. Imagine the madness of getting smooshed and her defense to the judge is "(sniffle...)But your honor, I ran out of fuel. I didn't mean too."[in her head]"Yup, smashed him like a bug."

Yes, too much of a risk. Every driveway would need an airport tower.
Plus, getting t-boned in the air is not a great idea either.
Don't mean to be a defeatist about such innovation, but from what I see in my own metro area, drivers aren't ready for such tech because they are too impatient.

Plus, both models aren't greatly attractive like a sleek new 2014 Corvette or something to that effect for $200k+. But might as well purchase your own private mini-jet.

Need a model without propellers because imagine the cost of taking your flying vehicle to the car dealer for repair. Now if labor for a serpentine belt costs hundreds, think of the cost of each propeller replacement.

Do the DeLorean way, may be more cost effective for customers, plus dumping your kitchen trash in the fuel tank, like Doc did in Back To the Future, continues the go-green initiative.

Good prototypes though. Keep evolving the innovation, entrepreneurs!!!
