Presley is one of the most celebrated musicians of 20th-century. Commercially successful in many genres, including pop, blues and gospel, he is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music.....he was nominated for 14 Grammies and won three, receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36.......he has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame.

Yeah so. Kanye West has won a lot of awards too and he's pure crap. Elvis fell off after he left Sun records. When he got fat hooked on prescription drugs and stopped rocking and turned into a Vegas stage show. He was pretty crappy during his later career. Watch the Elvis Comeback Special and tell me it was not garbage. I'll leave it at that.

I read everything perfectly and drifted nowhere. I never argued any points. You brought up Sun and I brought up Elvis who was one of their top artist. Elvis's big start to fame came on Sun records. That is not drifting away from a subject. It is the progression of conversation.

I better get with the times?????????? Why because I brought up your out dated reference to Elvis being the #1 selling solo artist of all time??? You're off your rocker.

subject was SUN Records .... not the artist and your pov of artist...I actully meet Elvis by accident but did meet and talked for a couple of hours , one of the nicest person i have ever met........

try this .....Some of the notable recording artists at Sun were Roscoe Gordon, Rufus Thomas, who recorded solo and with his daughter Carla Thomas, Little Milton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich and Conway Twitty (who at that time recorded under his real name of Harold Jenkins). In the Lovin' Spoonful song "Nashville Cats", John Sebastian used poetic license when referring to "Yellow Sun Records from Nashville".

You truly are nuts my friend. I might not be as old as you but trust me I now the whole Sun catalog. You should come to the Rochester N.Y. forum I got the perfect girl for you. She is just as off her rocker as you and has the same narrow understanding of dialog and discussion.

Yes, the 50's seem so innocent. But yet there are things here today or certain ways of living I would not want to let go of.

What the hell are you going on about now??? That is completely out of left field and has nothing to anything. When did I say anything about Billboard let alone that Sun Records has anything to do with it. Do you hear voices or something???? You seem kind of schizophrenic.
