It says I could take on 28. I didn't say I would fight dirty, but I did say I'd use a kid as a weapon and chuck him at another kid if I had to, lol. I also have fought the Zerg!
I was throwing my 8 and 9 year olds around playing football catch earlier tonight in the yard. I have lots of practice.
No moral compass for you. Too funny!

Okay, I had to stop laughing long enough to post this. Was a bit undecided which thread to put it on. But since is a fact.

Did you know: "A man using bath salts reported that raccoons had set fire inside his home and stolen his cell phone."

Very interesting. She contrasts resiliency with thriving and says "Thriving means that your needs were met during sensitive periods and that you have what you need for wellbeing."

There is a lot more that goes into "thriving" than simply having your needs met during sensitive periods. There IS a genetic component, there IS a personal decision component, there IS the randomness of life component to all this as well.

Simply meeting a child's needs is no guarantee that they won't make one or a few choices in life that holds them back, makes them struggle, and not be happy because of this. One poor decision can predispose one toward making more poor decisions, just because of the circumstances brought about by that one poor decision.

Simply meeting a child's needs doesn't automatically make someone who is not predisposed to be ambitious in life and a hard worker become these things.

Simply meeting a child's needs doesn't mean they will automatically seize opportunities that come along.

If you drink lots of water before a blood test, it much easier to find your vein for the needle.
