Femily (pronounced FEM-a-lee).

This one comes with a story: I was substituting in the Anaheim Union High School District and was taking attendance in a middle school classroom I had never been to before. When I got to the name, I thought it was a type-o, so I called, "Emily," to which the young lady responded, "No, it's Fem-a-lee. My mother was on drugs when she named me." The whole class laughed because they had heard the story before.

"No," I said, "Fem-a-lee's a nice name. It's so unique."

"Thanks, but it's a stupid name. After I was born, my mother was so out of it from the drugs they gave her that when the charge nurse came by to enter my name on some form, my mother looked at the bracelet I had on and thought my father had already named me. The bracelet had "Female" printed on it, so my mother told the nurse that my name was "Femily."

I hate to say it, but I cracked-up, too!

A close second place goes to "Uniquineesha." This girl's mother wanted to give her a unique name; she succeeded beyond her wildest dreams!

Now, for celebrity-spawn, you've got to go a ways to top Blanket Jackson, but then there's Moon Unit, Ahmet, Dweezil, Emuukah, Rodan and Diva Zappa (yup, Frank Zappa's kids), not to mention Zowie Bowie (David Bowie's kid)

One last one: a girl named Laurell Nancy Hardy, or Laurell N. Hardy. Her parents were entirely clueless until I brought it to their attention 16 years after the fact...

I saw a show on TV once where a redneck family thought the 'female' bracelet was the baby girls name, but they pronounced it Femolly (rhymes with tamale).

I was in the service with a Marine Gunny Sargeant whose wife just had a baby girl, and they gave her the first and middle names 'Marina Cora.' Pretty harsh.

...Marie...what a lazy parent to name their child that name...not a bit of creativity and conditions the child to behave as its inconsiderate parents for naming a child such a lame name...

...I think this was filmed in southeastern Louisiana...must have been on a Tuesday...because on Monday everyone in Louisiana is washing and eating beans and rice...no time for singing and dancing...LOLOL...that's what I love about living here...if it's rice and beans day you have your schedule worked out for you...time to do the wash...LOLOLOL...

Propeesha (Propecia is a hair growth pharmaceutical) always struck me as funny.

We had a poor, uneducated family in town, lived in a tarpaper shack by the river. Home delivery in the 50's. They told the doctor they would name the baby boy after him (Doc's name was Ira)-they named the baby Dokter. I went to school with this kid. LMFAO!

How about a kid whose last name was Baire (pronounced bear), first name Theodore. So all through school we called him Teddy Baire.
