As I have said before. The "verification system" will be a huge bureaucracy costing billions of dollars and plagued by corruption and mismanagement. Remember we are talking a system that will have to handle 10 to 20 times the volume of the '86 amnesty which was plagued by corruption and mismanagement. Investigating the background of people who have no I.D. and are masters of false I.D. and I.D. theft will not be easy. At the very least the agency that is created or at least the division of ICE should by congressional mandate be self financing. Let those who broke the law, in addition to paying back taxes and penalties, pay to finance this new multibillion dollar effort to verify I.D. and criminal records, legalize and keep track of them.
We know who is going to pay for all of this. The same people who have been paying to subsidize illegal aliens and illegal labor all along. The middle class tax payer.

Their parents of course, or their lack of parental discipline. The same is true for blacks who beat up whites, whites who beat up whites and blacks who beat up blacks. If your parents are criminals then you most likely will be one also. That is why we need to deport the 10 to 20 million criminals that we can deport rather than granting them amnesty so they and their children and their children's children cannot continue to victimize Americans.

Actually, they did interview actual farmworkers and farmers in the article - and named their sources.
So I would rate this as very credible.
The "reporter" starts off by openly showing bias. If you can't at least pretend to be objective then it is an editorial not a report. Just because a person quotes sources favorable to their opinion that does not make them credible. Nor does it make their sources credible.

Again, please explain why flooding the nation with 12-20 million highly impoverished new citizens who will consume far more in welfare programs than they save in labor costs or pay in taxes is what is best for us.
Maybe the Goya section will be enlarged and better stocked at the supermercado(with stuff made in Mexico)?

You are not aware at all of what goes on in areas that illegals live.....black's continually rob them, knowing two things.....illegals won't open bank accounts because they have no true ID, so they carry cash......And, they can't call on police out of fear of deportation......

there are the many words of Spanish origin that have been "naturalized": vigilante, filibuster, avocado, barbecue, corral, tobacco, vanilla, hammock, cigar, canoe, cougar and tapioca. The lingo of the cowboy, that symbol of American vitality and product of the Mexican vaquero, is directly traceable to the Hispanic original. http://www.hispaniccontributions.org/pManager...

Here we go. Just because I do not accept as gospel what an obviously biased editorial says I must be a FOX viewer. That makes you an MSNBC viewer:P.
The entire story is based on interviews with those who have been breaking the law and sources that support violating the law. I am sure that enforcing the law will prove a hardship to those who have been openly violating the law for so many years but that is there own fault. On the other hand those who have followed the law will benefit. Legal farm workers who are citizens or here on an H1A visa will be in demand and most likely make more money. Remember the principles of capitalism? In the past there wages were set by how little illegals will work for. Now they can demand more money because skilled, legal farm labor is in short supply. The honest workers win and the illegal aliens and those who hire them loose.

Got news for you: We have COMPUTERS now that do all the number crunching. Don't need a buildng full of people in green eye shades to do it. I could do it on my PC. All that is necessary is give a few people who hire illegal aliens without checking SS number some jail time and this nonsense would stop.

I can walk out my door and pee on one. Have you ever worked on a farm? Have you ever sat down to dinner with a farmer? Have you ever dated a farmer's daughter? Have you ever attended the funeral of a farmer?

I am not talking about the CEO of an agricultural corporation I am talking about a farmer. Though I do know both but I never dated the CEO's daughter.

Criminals often prey on criminals. Drug dealers, bookies, prostitutes get robbed all the time and are afraid to report it. We had an illegal stab his room mate who was also illegal to death for a few dollars in Allentown only a few miles from me. His room mate took him in because he felt sorry for him and as pay back he robbed and killed him. Here we have two illegals. One is good and kind the other is the devil. How can we know which is which? We have immigration laws to try and sort the good from the bad but if we don’t enforce the laws we end up where we are now

That's easy - just ask the NRA - they already have hatched a plan to seperate the mentally ill from the majority of "sane" gunowners.

Seperating good from evil is just a natural progression.

I agree that all they need to do is start enforcing the law. They have the technology to cross check ITN, SS, expired visas and employer data bases. It would not take much to track down illegal aliens and if the employer knew or should have known nail them also.
Verifying I.D., background, date of illegal entry, employment history, education history, tax and SS payments under various aliases, etc. Then subsequently tracking and each applicant to make sure they comply with the rules of their amnesty will take a large bureaucracy that will have to have offices in every city or town in the U.S. that has an illegal population. Have you never seen how our government works?

Some how I think the NRA could do a better job than the federal government. I can guarantee "evil" has more to fear from the NRA than from the federal government.
