Sikh couple kicked out of theater over religious 'weapon'

A Sacramento man said he and his wife were asked to leave a movie theater because company policy considers his religious item a weapon.

Agreed....It's called respect for others.
We respect the Sikh religion......now Sikh's, please respect the "no weapons" sign at the movie theater.

But the standards would be held just a little lower if it would've been a leatherman carried in by Bubba, huh?

This is a perfect example of ignorance on the behalf of the theater - although they can make their own rules for entry (no shoes, no shirt - no service), singling out a Sikh for this is an example of racial profiling. I just wonder how many other movie-goers in attendance that day had concealed weapons?

Afterall - it was a theater, right?

Wait for it - metal detectors in every movie theater.

If standards were held differently because of religion, I agree with you 100%. The theater MUST paint everyone with the same brush.

Like I said - I'd bet there was more than one concealed weapon in that theater that day - his attire made him a target.

Paint everybody with the same brush and run everyone through a metal detector prior to admission.
