But they were soldered so they could not be opened, which I agree with and they were only 2 1/2 inches rather than 5 1/2 inches long.

After honouring the killers of ex Army Chief General Vaidya, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has now honoured the assassins of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The Committee tried to justify it by calling it an annual event. While those who have fought for India's sovereignity are completely shocked at the way terrorists are being hailed as martyrs, there is no word whatsoever from either Parkash Singh Badal or Subhbir Singh Badal.

Where are you going with this?

There are no weapons allowed in a movie theater. Period.

Do you not get this?

i think they did the right thing, the policy is put there for a reason, i don't see why they should have to apologize either, the guy could have just given it to them to hold until after the movie, He made it a big deal...

Let's see now. Would I be considered a threat
because I am wearing a rather large crucifix
around my neck...after all, I could stab someone
in the eye with it...it is in effect, a weapon.

My stiletto heels....a weapon.

Nail files in my handbag....

My perfume spray...could blind someone.

No, I think it is completely over the top,
it is paranoid behaviour on the part of the staff.

Carrying a Kirpan (or ceremonial dagger) is a Sikh tradition for those baptized in the Sikh religion.

"It is a religious commandment given by Guru Gobind Singh (the tenth Guru of Sikhism) at the Vaisakhi Amrit Sanchar (a holy religious ceremony that formally baptizes a Sikh) in 1699, all baptised Sikhs (Khalsa) must wear a kirpan at all times along with other Articles of Faith. Although not all those who identify themselves as Sikhs carry a kirpan, it is one of the five articles of faith required to be worn by baptized Sikhs."
