The dog must not have been to important to her if she forget him. HOW does a person forget that there is a pet or a kid in their car? Is their mind that scrambled that they can not remember this? Wow. I hope she does not have little children or they may be next.

11 year old lab that she claims is part of the family, yet forgot about the dog being a hot car in her driveway?

I don't think so....atleast not with our dogs.

ain't that the truth??

Love my dog. He sits in the front window from about 2:00 on each day (my son tells me) and I don't get off work until 5:30. Imagine the total JOY I get to see each day!!!

(still, I hope people don't leave their best buds in hot cars. it's just not very nice)

hey HB!!(miss you, not posting as often)

I doubt it. I'm think the dog will make more of an effort to get out with owner, next time she leaves the car.

Try hitting your dog on the nose with particular item. Then do it again tomorrow, the doggie will back up as soon as he see's your walk toward him/her with that very same item.

...well, a smart dog. And she has a lab, one of the most intelligent breeds.

Or....let her do that to the lab a few more times and she'll have to pick him up and manually place him in the car when she wants him to get in in the future.

have to be totally honest here, my dog has had more offers than I have...and I have to ashamedly admit that I got him 'fixed'.

I have a big Lab who is very hard to travel with, even to the park. He gets overjoyed at the thought of riding in the car, and slobbers all over everything and everyone (mostly me). Even though he obviously does not enjoy the actual ride, he is always just as happy to jump in the car when asked. With that in mind, I cannot believe that she 'forgot' the dog in the car. How can you possibly forget a Lab in the car?

The same way people leave children in cars - stupidity.

The same kind of person who leaves a baby seat on the top of a car with the baby inside.

I think poster was saying, in response to my comment, that if she DID do this to many times, she would no longer have a dog in the future. He' run away or die in the car. Atleast thats the way I read it. I didn't assume the poster was saying she doesn't have a dog NOW...reread it then think about it.
