No one in the south wants to believe their ancestors died for black people. Duh. You can believe that Jesus walked the earth with dinosaurs. It doesn't make it so.

Why, just the other day I heard a young couple coming off the fairy:(blonde girl with cowboy hat)"Jim Bob, if I catch you using my dipthong again, I'm going to kick your dangling participle back to it's pre-position!"

It can't be true. Dinosaurs were heterosexual.

There are plenty of good examples why southerners are thought of as rubes right on this thread. Attention to spelling and grammar are evidence of good parenting and adequate schooling.

That was my point. Very, very few southerners(or anyone for that matter) actually live off the land; contrary to what Hank Williams Jr. would have us believe.
Oh then I totally misunderstood your post. I thought you were saying that the majority of corn and soybean farmers were claiming to live off the land, when in fact, they don't.

the only men you will see wearing a coat and tie to church in the South will be those over 70. Everyone else will be in blue jeans and maybe a bottom up collared shirt.

Same rules apply up north. I live here, it's rare to see anyone dress up for church anymore. I've been to weddings, funerals and business functions where people dress no better than they do for a trip out grocery shopping. And don't even get me started on the pajama pants wearing folks I see all over the place. I wouldn't walk to my mailbox dressed the way some folks dress.

That was my point! Why I was mocking the northerners thoughts about the south, and their lack of complex thinking about what the south is really like.
Mostly u made since,) tehehe
But u have to admit that the south hating on the thread is just full of ignorance and lack of knowledge. The pure ridiculousness of those ideas about the south makes yall look foolish.:)
Hating and haters are usually ignorant and lacking major knowledge. Just be proud of where you are from people. Learn new things and ideas from all walks of life. After all, we are AMERICANS.

In 1988 we moved to raleigh, nc. We moved back to pennsylvania in 1996. We found southerners to be intelligent and kind. We did learn that if you want to stay and fit in you have to change. You have to adopt linguistic patterns and respect locals. You have to respect culrural differences.
