What are they sprouts of?
We're down to 2 cats, thankfully--girl kitty and boy kitty. And no little kittys in the future.
Have a good one....
Mrs. Fisherman is into a planting thing. I think there are literally over a hundred sprouts around here.
Small various colored sweet peppers (like in the bags at Costco), regular bell peppers,'snap' peas/beans?, lettuce, tomatoes, ocra and squash (and something else, no doubt). I planted 6 crooked neck squash seeds yesterday in front by the lemon tree, am going to have to water it a lot now, so I can water them too, it's very dry.
We're down to two female fixed cats now, well, and the neighbor cat, he thinks he owns us too.(people don't "own" cats, cats own people)

Oh wow. Sounds like you guys are going to have a nice garden. We didn't put much stuff in this year, just a few tomatoes and some peppers. There are usually enough people with extras so I don't plant squash or beans. I read the other day about putting baking soda around your tomato plants to lower the acidity in the plants, and make them sweeter tasting. Tried it the other day, I'm hoping it works.

I know what you mean about cats. We've never owned a cat, we just feed them. At one time we were up to 17--and NONE of them were ours. They belonged to different neighbors, were homeless strays, and every female cat that showed up here was always pregnant. Thankfully, the population never stays long. These two that we have are nearly 3 years old. Five years is about as long as an outside cat lasts around here.

Funny thing about peppers..... The tag can show red, yellow or green peppers. Doesn't matter what kind-Jalapeno,sweet bell, chili. Doesn't matter. They ALL start out green. If you want green peppers, pick them early. Want yellow or red, wait a while. They all go thru those stages. Red is the mature ripe color when the flavor peaks.

Hi there sugah plum. This year when I got peppers--bell, of course, I got the red and the yellow. Color is supposed to indicate what the mature color is. But you know me, I'll probably just pick most of them green.

IF the deer don't get them first..... they've already been munching on the hostas and the day lilies.

He11,he don't work the DAY shift..... Barks all night at Lord knows what and the deer are 50 feet from the back door..... Maybe chaining him out by the raised beds for a few nights might help him get with the program.

25 weather has rain/possible storms moving in from the NW to SSE tonight after 7:00 or so local time.
