Yea...but I don't live in NYC anymore...livin it up in the countryside, no silly tourists...YET, because I live in this town where there are magical springs, and they wanna build hotels and stuff, which would bring 18000 Koreans here every damn summer...look it up-- Sharon Springs, NY.
What a beautiful name for a town! Always wanted to go to Sharon Pennsylvania and get my picture taken by the sign that says "Welcome to Sharon", LOL. Your little town sounds much nicer! You have a sign like that?

Yea many signs... They say "welcome to historic sharon springs, established 17--." Then it says something about hospitality and some other stuff.

I totally know what you mean. Nothing worse than tourists from NYC coming in for the summer and getting all up in your shit. I finally gave up on it, moved away and I just rent out the house now.
But there's nothing more annoying than the typical American tourist visiting EU/UK. A couple of months ago a group of them stopped me on the street in Liverpool and asked me where they could find the Beatles.
Holy carp......were they serious??
They couldn't have been serious......if they were, you should have thrown something at them.

I actually like to go into town in the summer and people watch......the chit you see is comical.

Okay so, I'm going to share an experience from living in NYC. One day, my family and I were just walking around, checking out some stores on broadway @ 7th ave(times square), and there were so many tourists blocking the sidewalk that we had to walk into the street to get past. What tourists don't understand is that people do actually work in that super-cool colorful building you are staring at, and you block their way. So get out of their way, and as a tip, New Yorkers never say excuse me if you are in their way. Don't take it as being rude, they are just trying to get somewheres.

Do other major cities/tourist destinations have the same problem? Are you one of those pesky tourists? Comment!
New Yorkers are just rude. Stop making excuses. It brings in revenue for the city. Rude on the phone, rude in person, just rude. Another reason I moved from there.

Yes we are rude! But it's not our fault, blame all the tourists that make us that way. We have an attitude in New York, a bad one, one that makes us different from other cities. Obviously the tourists don't care. People do work and live here, so just stay out of our way, and you'll be good.

If you are ever in Times Square, and want fast food, there is a Micky D's on west 47th. It has two floors to eat on, but the lines are always long of course, free wifi, and it's cool too since its designed to look like a theater on the outside.

When I was in a nearby town for business (Schoharie, NY), there was these tourists looking at the old stone fort... They looked so...1990s. It was pretty weird because they looked like they just got back from a trip to the 90s, and this was in 2013! Get with the times people.

We are exactly that, but try to blend in, not stick out and be like "Hey, Imma tourist, scam me and take all my money!" Try to be normal, don't make yourself scream tourist.
