Bare Feet Get Baby Booted from Burger King

There are 286 comments on the snafu-ed.blogspot.com story from Aug 6, 2009, titled Bare Feet Get Baby Booted from Burger King. In it, snafu-ed.blogspot.com reports that:

Baby feet are so cute, and in particular, my baby's feet are so cute. However, when Burger King says "no shoes, no service," they feel it applies to a baby, even a six-month old one. Thus, we find a barefoot baby being kicked out of Burger King.

Rules are rules. If the sign on the door says shoes are required by all customers, tehn that's what it means.

To not enforce a rule based on age is discrimination.

Plus, they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. While originally just used as a legal way to keep blacks out of stores, this can be used to keep babies out too.

More proof that the world's idiot population is growing byleaps and bounds. The Burger King manager IS a christian,by the way. A warm, loving christian. And that's why he acts like a moron.

I see this both ways. If you bend the rules for a 6 month old (logical), some mom will want an except for a 7 months old, than another for a 9 month old. If a manager gives in, then someone with a 1 year old will want an exception, then 2 years old, etc.

I've seen some "bending the rules" situations get way out of hand. So you are force to follow the rules with no logical exceptions.

If you wanna look at the rule bare bones then it applies to this one too. A little crazy I would say, however. And, it was a burger king--come on, what do you expect there--good service and food?!?!

ooo yeah !! another triumph for the "zero tolerance" dumbing down of the American public!..."I'm sorry Sir, if you're in a wheel chair after double foot surgery ...you know the rules 'no shoes, no service'"! "What lost a foot in freak accident involving an armadillo and a toilet plunger? Well, I guess we can let half of you in"! When will we go back to thinking for our selves???

However, there is no state law requiring customers to wear shoes. The whole thing about the health department was made up. In fact, it isn't even illegal to drive without shoes. It is a bad idea since shoes will help you hit the brakes hard, and shoes will give some protection against insects, rodents, and reptiles while you are driving. Someone may get bitten on the foot by something and cause a wreck. But driving without shoes is legal, even if it isn't the smartest idea.

It is kind of funny how we expect them to act professional , knowing that if they are working at Burger King they are not likely to be very educated individuals.

Exactly those young ones running around with their pants hanging off their butts .......Now that isn't against the health code?
