Oh my gosh sublime. Gees..lmao
Ok. First that is not all the repubs wanted they wanted ach defunded. Get ur sht straight
U can post links if u want but I won't b clicking on them. That is not safe on a forum.
I get to have my opinions n u have yours. It's not my fault if urs are ass backwards and based on misinformation and lies..
You want to talk lies. Lol impossible cuz u believe all the lies already.
A bill that is good for we the people is a good bill.
A bill that was just cooked up to waste time knowing it would never pass is a waste of time or a bad one. And guess what I really don't care if u don't understand this. The majority of the repubs saw how ridiculous a few were being and passed one that they could live with until it comes back up in Jan. No one gets 100% of their way and for u to act as if the dems or this pres. gets their way is just ludicrous and speaks a lot about your character. When the repubs shut the govt down because they couldn't get their way. They were the ones that looked like they couldn't compromise. If you can't see that, that is ur problem not mine. ;). Bless your heart!!

What is ach? Do you mean the ACA? <face palm>

You dont click on posts to news websites, because you cant stand to read facts that dont comport with your understanding. They might <gasp> cause you to learn something new and to re-examine your views, and lord knows we cant have that now, can we?

Unlike you, I dont predicate my whole argument on a bill being bad, just because I say so (without explaining why) and a bill being good, just because I say so (without explaining why), like you do. When you discuss politics, it is no more than I Lylah say this is good and that is bad, because I say so. Try explaining why something is good and something is bad using facts, sometime, instead of dopey shyte like,a bill that is good for the American people, because I, Lylah, say it is!!!

In terms of the defunding. The first bill the house passed back on September 20th defunded Obamacare. We are now in the middle of October. After they passed this first bill I mentioned, they passed MANY OTHER BILLS where they agreed to fund it, but were just asking for the things I listed. Now you may not read my links, but I will be happy to read yours. So if you claim my facts are wrong, I suggest you put your money where your mouth is and show me a link to a credible news story that says as much. Otherwise, we arent having a factual discussion, but a discussion about Lylahs opinions that are devoid of any basis in fact. Anyone can have an uniformed opinion, Lylah, and I dont care to discuss your misinformed opinions.

Further, it actually wasnt a majority of republicans. Yet another fact you are WRONG ABOUT. 87 members of the house voted IN FAVOR the legislation and 144 voted AGAINST IT and 18 senator voted against it, which means more republican Congressmen voted against the legislation than voted for it. WRONG AGAIN.

The reason some republicans voted for the law was to live to fight another day. Obama kept saying he wasnt going to negotiate because we were up against the clock and he felt blackmailed. Now we have 3-4 months, such that this card cannot be played anymore. If over the course of 3 to 4 months democrats continue to act as if they have dictatorial powers and refuse to compromise or make any cuts to spending, republicans will have no choice but to take us down this same road again and not yield the next time.

Even though, you think what the democrats want is good for this country (massive debt and entitlement programs that consume every dollar of federal tax revenue) other folks have a different opinion and have elected a majority of republicans into the house of representatives. Believe it or not, under our system of government, they actually have some say.

On second thought, dont even respond any response will simply be more stupid shyte along the lines of Lylah thinks this is good and Lylah thinks that is bad, because Lylah says so. I feel like I'm arguing with a 6 year old.

<quoted text>Who gets to decide what’s a good bill and what’s a ridiculous bill? Seems to me your entire argument is predicated on your subjective belief of what is good and what is ridiculous. Don’t you see this?

Let me guess Lylah, the good bill is the bill YOU LIKED and the ridiculous bill is the bill YOU DIDN’T LIKE? It’s just amazing how that works!!!! Everything that Lylah likes is obviously good and everything she doesn’t like is obviously ridiculous, duh, and if you have a difference of opinion with Lylah, well, you are just ridiculous and making a tired argument. Don’t you know Lylah is the arbiter of what is good and ridiculous, duh?

The republicans wanted to delay the mandate on individuals for one year, just like Obama did for businesses. They also wanted to get rid of a 3.5% tax on medical devices (because you know taxing medical devices somehow makes healthcare more affordable … it’s simply another way that Obamacare raised healthcare prices on everyone else so that bottom feeders can get insurance). They also wanted to require federal workers and members of Congress to have to buy their insurance on the exchanges that the members of Congress created and supposedly are so wonderful … the same exchanges they are imposing on average Americans. How is it unfair to make them use these same exchanges they are making average Americans use?

And guess what, the republicans were willing to negotiate over these things. For you to say that it was their way or the highway is an outright lie. It was Obama who was saying we won’t negotiate. Do you want me to post links?

And guess what, there was room to negotiate. Guess what the democrats wanted … they wanted to get rid of a tax on the healthcare plans of unions, to benefit their union cronies.

Obama already delayed the mandate for businesses for one year. Why do the democrats get to unilaterally decide what aspects of the law are delayed or not, but republicans can’t have any say when it comes to an aspect they want delayed and when they even try, they are being ridiculous. They control half of Congress!
Lil jagoff doesn't understand the mark up on medical devices and the tax on that mark up.

Perse: Hi Sublime:

Graybox Creep: Hey Sublime, I'd like to send you a picture of my d' with the worlds tiniest flag draped over it, punk.
