As I look at the letters that you wrote to me,
It's you that I am thinking of,
As I read the lines, that were so dear to me.
I remember our faded love.

I miss you darling more and more every day,
As heaven would miss the stars above,
With every heartbeat I still think of you,
And remember our faded love.....

Yeah.....Great song...Lord keep my memory green !

"Memory can glean, but can never renew.
It brings us joy faint as the perfume of the flowers,
Faded and dried, of the summer that is gone."

I keep hearing how it's better to have loved than lost, or if you're faced with the choice of sitting or or dancing, you should dance, or you could have missed the pain but then you'd have missed the dance. I'd much rather never have loved or danced. Honest.

In fact, I wish I could go back to the first time I saw her. I'd turn around and walk away.

Tucked away in a quiet, dark corner of my heart is a place where, sadly, her gentle smile still rests, her sweet kisses still linger and her quiet whispers softly echo.

Every breath I take is proof that I can live without her, but it's like having broken ribs: I look perfectly healthy, but every breath hurts.

poetry is suffering

poetry’s aching love

poetry’s a

ladybug graveyard

full of dead luck.

poetry is stifling

poetry is grand

poetry’s the nourishment

that feeds my troubled hand

poetry’s a dead language

spoke by wreckless tongues

poetry’s the rope that

keeps my sad head hung

poetry is reasoning

and numbering the stars

poetry’s confusing,

poetry’s my scars.

poetry’s a feeling

and when i feel it my heart shakes

poetry’s a feeling, when i feel it

my heart breaks.

poetry is selfish,

poetry is pain,

poetry’s the reason

that i’ll never love again.

I care to be nested within your heart

Amplified by the hole you have there,

Thirsty filling you

With a thirst for night songs,

Thrown into the dark for those who are awake ~

I come

Curled into the hole you have there ~

I care but cannot remain long,

So lay upon your breast my hand ~

I come

Though the other reaches backward,

As I turn my head to dark muted spaces

Where nocturne nightingales vainly sing ~

I come

Away from your smile that blinds,

I will embrace the cosmic entropy

Running a burn trail through my synapses ~

I come

Ticking ticking away waning oblivion,

With a gravity of narrow sadness

Squeezed into a burrow of shadowed rest ~

I come

Only leading to death,

If we don't scream now

So life may call up the storm,

The churning broil of creation's mix ~

Come with me!

Throw my heart into the crimson air,

A small spark ricocheting savagely,

A small speck temporarily haloed ~

Let us go

Seeking a holy message in dissolution

Before sudden extinction into the black,

I care to be nested within your heart

Amplified by the hole you have there ~

Thirsty filling you

With a thirst for night songs

Thrown into the dark for those who are awake

I come.

She
told me to think about
what I would have done
and I don't think she forgot to add

"without me".

"BON VOYAGE DeVINE."

It is the pain that bruises forever our love of the world.

Far, far too much for one little girl to endure.

We are not a one built for this
Brutal, inanimate law.

We are crushed and each crushable begs merciless science to yield us quarter,
And pray
That the ethereal pieces of us are as we believe immutable,
Unalterable,
Forever living,
Undestroyable,
Invincible and true.

So I offer what I dearly believe,
What I have fought to learn in this brief time,
And wish it be
Forever held by each of us,
That we shall without the glimmer of doubt,
Know that we were, and are always....

Together......although we are apart.

I messed up a long time ago--and nothing can bring back the time or change my choice. Living with regret of a lost love is the hardest thing.

As summer’s wind bids farewell

Yet I am stranded in yesterday

Not daring to let go of a love

You have deemed me unworthy of

Black is the color of night, I am shown

As darkness embraces a yearning

A face owned by that thief Past is missed

And your voice still rings in my ears -

It is as deafening as your silence

In my loneliness, I crave pain

The bleakness of waiting seduces

A skin numbed by the absence of touch

Hands caressing hands caressing bodies

Are but images in dreams.

The most frightening thing is to be alone
To look around and simply see emptiness
Knowing you are out there,
that you can understand
the emotions pouring out of me
To know I am not the first to walk this path
Though I wish to be the last
These are things that bring comfort

Everyone finds their own path
But paths cross and a helping hand is given
Each bring their own wisdom,
Advice and knowledge
of how to climb this huge mountain

Who better to understand,
Than those who have been there?
Who better to guide this journey,
Than those who have walked it themselves?

From this hour I ordain myself loosed of limits and imaginary lines,
Going where I list, my own master total and absolute,
Listening to others, considering well what they say,
Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating,
Gently, but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me.
I inhale great draughts of space,
The east and the west are mine, the north and the south are mine.
I am larger, better than I thought, I did not know I held so much goodness.
Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons, It is to grow in the open air, and to eat and sleep with the earth.
These are the days that must happen to you:
You shall not heap up what is called riches,
You shall scatter with a lavish hand all that you earn or achieve,
You but arrive at the city to which you were destined,
You hardly settle yourself to satisfaction before you are called by an irresistable call to depart,
You shall be treated to the ironical smiles and mockings of those who remain behind you,
What beckonings of love you receive you shall only answer with passionate kisses of parting,
You shall not allow the hold of those who spread their reached hands toward you.
Allons! to that which is endless as it was beginingless,
To undergo much, tramps of days, rests of nights,
To see nothing anywhere but what you may reach it and pass it, To conceive no time, however distant, but you may reach it and pass it,
To look up or down no road but it stretches and waits for you,
However long but it stretches and waits for you,
To see no being, not god's, but you also go thither,
To see no possession but you may possess it, enjoying all without labour or purchase,
Abstracting the feast, yet not abstracting one particle of it.
To carry buildings and streets with you afterward wherever you go,
To gather minds of men out of their brains as you encounter them, to gather the love out of their hearts,
To take your lovers on the road with you, for all that you leave them behind,
To know the universe itself as a road, as many roads, as roads for travelling souls.

Allons! the road is before us! It is safe-
I have tried it- my own feet have tried it well- be not detained!
Let the paper remain on the desk unwritten, and the book on the shelf unopened!
Let the tools remain in the workshop! let the money remain unearned!
Let the school stand! mind not the cry of the teacher!
Let the preacher preach in his pulpit! let the lawyer plead in the court, and the judge expound the law,
Camerado, I give you my hand! I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law: Will you give me yourself? will you come travel with me? Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?
