I did not cut and paste anything...all my thought on here is original...my sentiment is original...

I started this thread months before todays 'USA Today' article came out...

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/...

Which if you read, has Walmart ranked as the lowest in customer service....

I was ahead of the curve on this one...

Some folks tried to make it seem as if it were 'me'...that I was the one inviting the rude behavior...

But now according to social scientist...who have done extensive research...turns out millions of others have shared my experience...and as such millions of others are displeased with certain behaviors they encounter inside the store by those hired to make your shopping experience wonderful and pleasant, not nightmarish...

The products themselves don't effect me or my mood much...

Products don't effect my mood or shopping experience inside the store...it's the interaction with others that effects my mood or shopping experience...

The products on the shelves themselves lack the ability to effect my mood...

The Products are lifeless entities...which lack the ability to change or alter my mood...

Unless it breaks while I'm using it at home...

Cause appearences are everything...and I'm a person of class...or try to be...
I don't want other custimors (appearences) seeing me detained against the wall, as some low end Walmart door person scrounges through my bags...
It's all about appearences...and I want to appear as I truly am on the inside...and that is 'good'...
And when it comes to theft...there is no grey area...either you stole something or you didn't...
When it comes to theft...there is no 'you might have stole something' or 'I think they stole something'....either you did or you didn't...and if you really did steal something...and they have evidence of that...there is no 'preliminary search'...
Your simply detained by store security, until cops arrive...
They show cops the 'proof' or 'evidence' of you stealing...and cops make an arrest based on that 'evidence of theft'...
But if there is no 'evidence of theft'...cops won't bother showing up...and person detained will get nice retirement fund from fat law suit that follows...ok...
First off, Lady.. You need a good spell checker. There's many mistakes here. Secondly, Walmart door greeters do not stand at the door and check bags/receipts as the customers leave. That changed over a year ago.

And they work in different departments...none of the departments are 'crappy'...the stores are usually clean and sanitized...
it's not like they're outside shoveling cow manuer on a farm...
Their conditions are superb, compared to other labor type jobs...
As such, when I walk into their store...like on their TV commercials, I need, we need, to be greeted with a big smile...I help pay their salaries...they don't pay mine...
Stand clear everyone. Time 'n Space coming through. Treat her like the Queen she thinks she is. Geesh, Sarah Palin came into our local Walmart complete with tour bus and entourage. She walked to the Infants Department, picked up a box of diapers and then made her way to the cash registers. Super nice person. Now she was treated like a Queen. Unlike Time 'n Space looking down her nose at the less fortunate in the world. Stay out of Walmart. I'm sure they wouldn't miss you.

I think I'm done griping about Walmart stores.

I haven't been to one in a while.

And I suspect many on here work at Walmart...thus my rantings are making them upset.

And I don't really need to go there anymore...I can afford to by much higher quality products...

Walmart is what it is...and I am what I am...a hyper sensitive consumer...

But I care more about how I'm treated inside the store, than the actually product I buy...

My last rant took place inside a Best Buy and Office Max...
And both managers agreed with my assessment...

I basically said 'Do you hire your floor personel to stand around and gossip, or to move product?

Cause that's how they're rated at the end of each month...sales...
That's how managers are rated, get promoted or demoted is through sales volume...

And I told them they could increase sales volume by 50-100% simply by interacting with custimors more...expecially in those large, warehouse sized electronic stores...

1000's of electronic gadgets and gidgets that many custimors would like to buy, if only someone would explain what they are, what they're for and how buying it could better their life.

A few weeks ago I went to one store...walked in...wasn't greeted by anyone...so I left...

I went to their competitors store...I was greeted, given attention...and thus stimulated to spend over $300.00...

I then went back to the first store, showed them the receipt and said

"I came here first, but no one greeted me, no one made me feel welcome, so I went to your competitors store instead and spent over $300.00"

I showed him the receipt and told him to do the math...I said

"How many other potential custimors do you loose in the course of a day?,$300 x 10 or 20?"

That's $3000-$6000 a day they potentially loose out on do to poor salesmanship and bad training and floor people not understanding their role in the over all success of their company.

$3000 x 30 days in a month = potentially $90,000 dollars in lost sales a month!

Those kind of figures get managers attention...and I probably should start my own training seminar to train up and coming managers and teach them how to get more out of their employees...

But also if your employees do for you, and help you become successful you have to turn around and help them succeed as well...

A self sustaining circle of success...

Anyhow, happy shopping.

I work at the Walmart on Thomas and I know our store is not that way. I'm sorry you have had bad experiences at the store you go to. That is not a refection on the company itself, it is a refection of that stores management. Nate, Lawn & Garden #2515
