4 Good evening. I hope this post finds you rested and recovered from your heinous shopping traumas. Some time last spring, it came to my attention, that one of the girls in my employee had not requested a personal day off in over a year. Imagine my horror when Accountant suggested that I owed overtime wages! I've grown fond of this girl, and have spent a bit of time in training her well. So well in fact, that if needed, on occasion I can lend her to a friend to work party's, banquets etc. at her usual hourly rate. There is of course the tactic understanding that she will be tipped $20.00 after clean up when dismissed.($25.00 if it is late and the bus has stopped running.) While giving the problem at hand a moments thought...It occurred to me that she was looking a bit shabby and bedraggled lately. She was in need of new uniforms and we had to do something with her hair. I asked her if she didn't have a birthday soon? She brightened up considerably and nodded. Saying under her breath it would be her 60th. Aha! I could solve all these inconveniences with a trip to the Wal-Mart store. A shopping and hair dressing day in her own environment should be a pleasure and treat for her loyal service these past 15 years. She appeared very happy with the proposal. I directed her to catch the bus before daylight, so as to arrive that Saturday early to finish the breakfast dishes and beds before we went out on our jaunt....... T.B.C.? ;-) |

1 T&S, I take things and people at face value. Not always in that order. I'm working on my third million bucks. Treating me like a million would only bring up bad memories. And even that's because I had to give up on the first two. Yeah, they didn't quite pan out as I expected, my new lucky number is 4 when 3 doesn't pan out. Take me with a grain of salt (I have a lot invested in salt right now), but talk with your physician first to see if that's okay, I give enough folks high blood pressure and I won't push the salt thing until then. 1 You never sent me the pics we took that day. We've really have to stop drinking before we go there on a rainy day. Even the folks in housewares are following us around now. That might have stemmed from when you grabbed that knife and started dancing around and singing "When you're a Jet, you're a Jet...", one of your best gigs to date. I know you'll try to do a better one, we haven't been kicked out of lawn and garden yet... YET! I have a plan for that, visit the meat department first, crap I've already said too much. Don't forget to bring your BLUE vest this time. the Red one was funny but we're going to Wally World this time. Target we have to let cool off for a while after you pulled off that underware fashion show with the senior citizens. I'm still laughing about that one, and it's been a month or so. Meet me in the beer/wine isle and we'll talk about it for an hour or two. I'll pay for the cab this time. I owe you that. |
