It's SoCal, I don't expect anything less than it smelling like crap. Can't wait until this state splits into two separate states. Well, I know government is going to be involved and they're going to screw it up, can't expect anything less of them.

Sounds like they have not herad of the environs of the local meat rendering plant during the BSE crisis years of 1995 & 96 in high summer.

That one was detectable in aircraft at 30,000 ft and also on the coast of Lincolnshire in cool misty mornings.

Was very fortunate that the plant was gutted by a fat fire in the heatwave of 2003. Re engineering to get it above the minimum prion denaturation temperature improved the smell noticeably downwind.
Just recently smell has improved again as a result of another fat fire in the aircon air processor (start July 2012).

Good news is that for me typos are only occasional, and reports of "insanity" were a result of bad mouthing by the local Blairites; as I live upwind of the plant most of the time.
Several local councilloers are now "lost" as a result of a tour of the plant. They are distinguishable from the "Damned" by a legal search, the lost have no prior convictions, whereas the damned do.

Also note that the area of the Salton sea underwent a small rift earthquake under the Salton Domes volcano in the S. part of the lake. could be a "cooked up stink" of rendering type there too.

Have a nice day: Ag
