There are many abandoned subway stations and platforms in New York. 18th, 91st street, Jerome and Anderson avenues, the city hall loop, and South ferry. The station can also be seen by passengers who remain on the downtown 6 <6> trains as they travel around the loop to head back uptown. The loop track is classified as revenue track, and the newest announcement programs on the R142A subway cars announce at Brooklyn Bridge: "This is the last downtown stop on this train. The next stop will be Brooklyn Bridge City Hall on the uptown platform." A further announcement follows, warning passengers to remain inside the car at all times.

Myrtle avenue on the BMT fourth avenue line is an abandoned local station in Manhattan. The station can be seen by looking out the right window of Manhattan-bound B Q trains (and D trains during late nights when they stop at DeKalb Avenue) right before the bridge. In the station, there is also a piece called "the Masstransiscope zoetrope" by Bill Brand, installed in 1980. After falling into disrepair, graffiti was removed and the artwork restored. It again fell victim to vandalism during the subway shutdown during hurricane Sandy, and was restored again after that.

Rochester has some hidden derelict sections of abandoned subway. One cave-like section is located near the waterfall, accessible from the riverbank if you hop the fence nea rMaplewood park. Be careful, miscreants, bums and junkies sometimes hang in the area. Also, fat people hiking get stuck and have to be rescued fom the steep slope. Just sayin'

Wow, more hate language against that people. Amazing how these days you can't do that with ethnic or racial (except for white people bashing is okay) but so many feel it's okay to say nasty things about fat people. Really weak, really sad. I mean hey I could stand to lose maybe 5 lbs. but so many of these bashers you can tell they're just kids, let's see how you sound when you turn 30! LOL

You better hope Rhonda doesn't come to Weird or she might tell you to stop talking bad about the city and call you Nickbo.

I apologize. I simply meant to state a fact that morbidly obese people have gotten stuck down in the gorge and had to be rescued.
I was not trying to hurt fat peoples' feelings, and have them cry those big fat tears out of their big fat pudgy eye sockets, while they eat a supersize fast food meal, whimpering and wallowing in their pizza stained shirts. Just sayin'

Are there any mad scientists down there, in secret laboratories, perhaps in need of a robotic helper? Impeccable grammar and durable.
