Killed were Mitchell; Alsbury Baptist Church youth minister Brian Jennings, 43, of Burleson; Hollie Boyles, 52, of Burleson; and her daughter, Shelby Boyles, 21, of Burleson.

Investigation also shows that Couch was driving 68 to 70 mph in a 40 mph zone and had a blood alcohol level of .24, three times the legal limit, at the time of the crash, Anderson said.

Security camera footage retrieved from the Burleson Walmart captured several of the truck’s occupants shoplifting two cases of beer earlier the same night, Anderson said.

Maybe some poor victim of poorfluenza or ghettofluenza will mutilate him to death with a crowbar, as a result of their "condition", and not be held responsible either. At least he is rich enough to afford armed bodyguards.

Not far from the tree:

http://girlsjustwannahaveguns.com/2013/12/fam...

They have several driving citations on their records and Mr Couch has been arrested for alleged crimes including theft, evading arrest and an alleged assault against Mrs Couch, according to official court documents obtained at the Johnson County Court records office in Cleburne.

But aside from a number of small fines for their motoring offenses and a six-month community supervision order issued to Mrs Couch, neither of them have been punished further.

In fact all of the more serious cases against Mr Couch, going back as far as 1989, have been dismissed.

Charges were dropped in the two theft cases, because Mr Couch paid substantial restitution.

And hopefully, this will bear witness to significant consequences:

DA seeks jail time for Ethan Couch; more details arise in teen's background

by BYRON HARRIS WFAA Posted on December 17, 2013 at 6:28 PM
FORT WORTH — More information has arisen in the background of 16-year-old Ethan Couch, who was given a controversial probation sentence in a drunken driving crash that killed four in June.

Dating back to 1989, Fred Couch, Ethan's father, shows up 23 times in Johnson County police records. Included in the records are charges of criminal mischief, theft by check and assault. The cases were dismissed.

"During his recent trial, the 16-year-old admitted his guilt in four cases of intoxication manslaughter and two cases of intoxication assault," read a statement from District Attorney Joe Shannon. "There has been no verdict formally entered in the two intoxication assault cases. Every case deserves a verdict. The District Attorney’s Office is asking the court to incarcerate the teen on the two intoxication assault cases."
The accident took place less than a half mile from his home. Couch had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, as well as Valium.

This is a somewhat related story. Fortunately, this DA was arrested. Video from the arresting officer and jail illuminated how belligerent and intimidating this woman tried to be.

I'm haven't looked for the result of this tria (in Austin TX, I think)l, if it has concluded.
