Meat is meat if you think about it.

Normal "meats" we eat are cow, pig, lamb, chicken, turkey, deer, oh don't forget baby cow either.

Why is it an odd stretch to eat horse meat? Or any other meat for that matter?

Hey I'm a Buckeye too! Ray Kroc was asked at the time about the worms. His reply was: Ground beef is 1.00 a pound, worms are 2.00 a pound. Would it make sense for us to use worms?

Goat is the most widely eaten meat in the world and one of the leanest meats.

I won't eat veal because I don't care for it being locked in a box or staked to the ground, I guess I like my meat to run around before it's killed? I really can't picture cutting one my chickens heads off, we have them for eggs, but I do eat chicken. I think my diet would be much different if I personally had to slaughter my food. Back to the goat, we have a field butcher come to the house to kill them, I cry for about a day.

Eat more lamb!!!! Ten thousand coyotes can't be wrong.

You sure do have alot of names..:)

Horse, dog, cat, these are domesticated animals and there's just something wrong about having them on your plate.

Or I should say for me it is.

" On Monday, inspectors in the Czech Republic said they found horsemeat in the signature meatballs made in Sweden for the IKEA furniture group not just food, but also a national emblem."

I wonder if Americans would be offended if eagle meat was in there?

That was a real rumor years ago, so much so that the CEO of McD made a public statement, which included a statement along the lines of 'I've conducted a study, and can report that pound-per-pound, worms are more expensive than bovine meat, and pose no benefit as a replacement or filler to our hamburgers. I assure and give my word that McD have never used worms in any of it's food.'

Man's got a point...

People do have domesticated cows, pigs, and chickens as well you know.....

I know where your coming from though..... It's a cultural thing.
If you were in a third world country and hungry, you would probably eat any meat put before you.

We in America (and other countries) are very fortunate for what we have and what we don't have.
