As I said we don't need another war regardless of who did what.
Haven't we lost enough lives?
When will it end?
In all seriousness, you are right. We don't need another war and one American life is too big a price just to make a point. The administration has had the intelligence implicating Assad's use of chemical weapons but the timing is bad. Obama has learned to play the game, and play it fairly well. The next time he has a piece of legislation that will leave a particularly bad taste in the votes mouths the situation in Syria will escalate to the point of requiring a military response. The war in Syria will be about distraction.

From what I understand they are not sure where it came from. Thats why they are not moving on this info as of yet.

Until the last 48 hours there has not been reported fighting near a CW holding facility.

The technology to build and use a chemical munition of their own is beyond what the rebels have.

What would the rebels have to gain by using a chemical weapon? If they are linked to this the whole rebellion loses legitimacy with the UN and the world. With that legitimacy they lose any and all aid now and any legal recognition they gain after the war.

Assad on the other hand has little to lose if caught using CWs. Most of the world has already written him off, even Russia is distancing themselves, and the UN is a paper tiger. The UN will send Assad a stern warning sometime this week or next, but nothing will be done and he knows this.

Even the Turks don't want involved. Nobody wants a fight with Iran and if we go over there without thinking it through thats exactly what will happen. They are just itching to fight with the US.

Even with drones we shouldnt get involved. Those people hate us and dont want us interfering in Islamic business, until their own regimes in power are hitting them with nerve agents...so allow their dictators to gas them and do nothing is the way I feel about it. Maybe its not the humanitarian thing to do but if you help radical islam you are helping the enemy. I dont want my tax dollars funding operations in a country we arent wanted when sequestration is about to affect my daughters education. I will climb down from my soapbox now.

And the dilemma depends 'deepens' on;
Whether it was a strike on Syria or Iran.
'i' agree with Obama it was on shipments of
missiles from Iran thru Syria that were headed to Lebanon Islamics.
Syria just happened to be on (in) the way.

As of this morning, the US is still not sure if Assad has used chemical weapons. It's probably the reason the US is taking its time and evaluating. Just a guess though.
