After ALL that..I think 'I' have come up with the answer to
the entire Syria question..>>

I think they should all chill out,
sit down, have a game of cards,
and a few beers,
Plus a few pulls of the peace pipe-
perhaps with a little 'something' in it..

Play music of their individual choices
and let the world go by!

Life's short.

Lol

Nothing like it,

Ummm! Must drop a line to
Obama this afternoon and put forward
My suggestion:)

With that in mind, how can Obama unilaterally attack Syria without congressional approval? The answer is, he can't, not without an imminent threat to the US, and that becomes especially clear when you look at what America's founders had to say about war powers. Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Adams, and Hamilton all agreed that the power to declare war belongs absolutely to Congress, and not to presidents.

you are the expert in the Bag Phone though,...

Their entire lifestyle over there consists of 'I want to kill anyone who is not of my own religious group'.

You cannot reason with, change the thinking of, or in anyway get people like that to coexist peacefully with anyone outside their sect.

It is futile to try and stupid to think you can do it.

Much like trying to intervene in a squabble between husband and wife, YOU will become the object of BOTH sides' anger. A spousal situation is slightly different in that you might take one half aside and convince it to move out.

That's not gonna happen when it's an entire country.

Best to just leave them alone. They will never work it out, they will always be killing each other. There is nothing anyone else can do about it. It's what they do.

If, as we've been told, Assad gassed his own people, he's just the last in a long, sad line of genocidal leaders. Does that require us to make parts of Damascus glow in the dark?

Decisions, decisions? "Sage" words from and some fun facts about another brutal bastage leader? What's 1.5 Million of your 8 Million population, when you're "The Man" in Cambodia?

"I did not join the resistance movement to kill people, to kill the nation. Look at me now. Am I a savage person? My conscience is clear."

"I want you to know that everything I did, I did for my country."

"It's up to history to judge."

Clem those are my exact sentiments. Like a said earlier it's been going on since Jesus's time, He couldn't do anything about but Obama thinks he can. LOL
Taken from Clems quote:
It is futile to try and stupid to think you can do it.
Reminds me of the Hatfields and the McCoys when law enforcement got in the middle of that feud.

You do realize that Cambodia was closed off to the outside world and it's press, during their genocide?

Yes I do. I'm on the fence on Syria. I believe if we do nothing, after having said we would, we could look feckless and weak-willed. However, we've supported or looked the other way while shady leaders, brutal dictators and outright known criminals and thugs mentally and physically abused their people, plundered their treasuries, siphoned aid off to themselves and starved their own citizens for hundreds of years now. So what's one more Assad in the grand scheme of things?

It has to make sense, from a Corporate/Ethical perspective, in order to really get our politician's involved......also, for them to sell it to us.....
