Take the gun out of the loop on this one... what do you think the outcome would have been? You believe that TM would have bashed GZ's brains out on the sidewalk or not?
If he hadn't killed him that way, and GZ suffered some permanent injuries from the attach, then what then becomes of GZ? How is TM charged? My guess is that TM would have sprinted the last few yards to his house after the attack and no one would know who had beat the hell out of GZ and left him laying on the sidewalk.. some option there dip-sheet
You obviously don't have a clue how these people act nowadays.. if you did.. you wouldn't have a single question left in your mind.. you'd completely understand what unfolded that night...
No? Then perhaps you can tell us all why someone who was on top of another person beating the hell out of him would be screaming for help... make any sense to you? Facts in evidence put TM on top of GZ beating him.. not disputed by the state.. didn't happen..
now.. with that background.. why would his mother and father and brother testify that it was TM screaming for help? You want the truth? Ask them to provide it to you.. they clearly didn't in that trial.
Jeantel? LOL...
Better yet, let's take one step back from there, instead, and remove the overzealous vigilante mall cop wannabe from the equation! If GW stays put in his SUV, as directed by the PD Dispatcher, no fight, no GW "in fear for his life!" (LOL), no deceased unarmed minor, no charges filed, no trial, no not guilty verdict, no thread. Simple, huh?

Everyone likes simple, right? Let's simplify this even more for you. The only remaining eyewitness/information source we have is the fearful GW, who conveniently "forgot" to testify on his own behalf. So I'd expect GW to have engaged in major CYA If you didn't expect GW to do just that, you don't know people and might struggle in the RW.

You've confirmed above you don't know me and don't know what I know about how "these people act" as you so tellingly put it above. I get it. Your "these people" labeling confirmed you're a racist who hates on blacks and GW, having recently removed one from the World, is your CCW vigilante hero. Hey, a guy needs a role model. I'm so happy for you!

Thanks for sharing! You have a great day, bud!

On the night of the shooting, the police ordered Zimmerman to stay in his vehicle.

“Are you following him?” the operator for the Sanford police’s non-emergency line asks Zimmerman.“Yeah,” he says. The dispatcher on the phone tells him:“We don’t need you to do that.”

Who the aggressor was that fateful night is the central — and most unanswerable — question of the case. Those who fault Zimmerman have latched on to this back-and-forth with Sean Noffke, the operator, as proof that Zimmerman defied a direct police order.

Not so. Noffke testified on the first day of the jury trial that it is dispatchers’ policy not to give orders to callers.“We’re directly liable if we give a direct order,” he explained.“We always try to give general basic ... not commands, just suggestions.” So,“We don’t need you to do that” is different than a more direct “Don’t do that.”

Under cross-examination, Noffke added more context to his “suggestion” when asked whether his requests for updates on what Martin was doing encouraged Zimmerman to follow the unarmed 17-year-old.“It’s best to avoid any kind of confrontation, to just get away from the situation,” Noffke said.

The police didn't order (or even ask) Zimmerman to do anything.

Why should the dispatcher be considered "directly liable" for anything when the murderer himself wasn't even liable. The victim is liable for everything! What country are you people living in? Gawd!

You should have read his whole post.

He noted that the police did not order anything, that the 911 operator suggested that he not follow Zimmerman.

Though I see the person who posted just before I did does not understand that self defense is not murder.

Okay, be sure to take your Ritalin so that you can concentrate, Sunshine: at which point in the 9-11 call did the 911 operator tell Zimmerman to stay in his vehicle?

Shouldn't be that hard for a wannabe Al Sharpton to pin down the exact minute and second those words were uttered to Zimmerman.

It is the fact that Zimmerman ignored the 911 operator's advice not to follow Martin that former Sen. Peaden says disqualifies him from claiming self-defense under the law.

"The guy lost his defense right then," Peaden told the Miami Herald. "When he said 'I'm following him,' he lost his defense."

Amazing that the same people who believe Zimmerman has no obligation to obey a Police Department Dispatcher, believe Trayvon Martin had to obey anything a jackleg, neighborhood watch person said.

And now we hear from one of the men who WROTE THE LAW that Zimmerman threw self defense off the table when he disobeyed the dispatcher and followed the child.

Words have Power

"I once read that a word is like a living organism, capable of growing, changing, spreading, and influencing the world in many ways, directly and indirectly through others. I never thought about a word being 'alive' but then I thought of words spoken 3,000 years ago, written down and passed through many generations, and they seem quite alive when read or spoken today, having lived 3,000 years. As I ponder the power of the word to incite and divide, to calm and connect, or to create and effect change, I am ever more cautious in what I say and how I listen to the words around me."

National Sheriff's Washed Its Hands of Zimmerman

The purpose of the Neighborhood Watch Program is to enable citizens to act as the “eyes and ears” within their community and alert law enforcement immediately when they notice suspicious activity. However, the Neighborhood Watch Program does not in any way, shape, or form advocate citizens to take the law in their own hands. The success of the program has established Neighborhood Watch as the nation’s premier crime prevention and community mobilization program. Visible signs of the program are seen throughout America on street signs, window decals, community block parties and service projects.

“The alleged action of a “self-appointed neighborhood watchman” in Sanford, FL significantly contradicts the principles of the Neighborhood Watch Program,” stated NSA Executive Director Aaron D. Kennard, Sheriff (ret.).“NSA has no information indicating the community where the incident occurred has ever even registered with the NSA Neighborhood Watch program.”

“The Neighborhood Watch Program fosters collaboration and cooperation with the community and local law enforcement by encouraging citizens to be aware of what is going on in their communities and contact law enforcement if they suspect something – NOT take the law in their own hands,” continued Executive Director Kennard.“The alleged participant ignored everything the Neighborhood Watch Program stands for and it resulted in a young man losing his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Trayvon Martin during this terrible time.”

What part of "as directed by the PD Dispatcher" confuses you, dude? His exact words were "we don't need for you to do that" (as in follow TM). What part of that "direction" confuses you? It fell just short of saying "serial-911 caller, park your happy azz in your vehicle."

We've all read that dispatchers are trained to not order callers, to avoid potential future legal responsibility. Instead of staying put, as directed, armed, overzealous vigilante mall cop wannabe GW decided he knew better than that dispatcher. So he ignored what he was told.

By his own comments, he saw a guy who "was going to get away." What was the worst that could happen to him? He was an armed asiring rent-a-cop. So he thought he knew better than the dispatcher and ignored him. Per his claims, a fight ensued, he was getting his azz kicked.

So he ended his alleged azz-kicking by tapping TM. Here's a question that none of the firearm extremists want to answer. At what point did TM lose his own right to "stand his ground?" We'll wait... You always this slow, or is this a convenient, selective form of amnesia?
