Don't like marijuana? Don't use it..it's real simple. I don't like vodka or Vicodin so, unlike you, I don't use them...

It's not what "the Right" has/hasn't done to fix it, it's what "the Left" has done to make the problem 10,000 times worse for the last 80 years. All of this entitlement spending is not only financially unsustainable, it's destructive to those that have expected it for generation after generation.

I wasn't talking about Trayvon smoking pot or any of that.
My point was that more people now own guns and carry. The world is such that innocent people have been killed over a watch or cash. Now these innocents are picking up guns and yes, defending themselves from those who would rob them. And it's all easy to call Zimmerman spineless when you are not in that position.
If there was a neighborhood watch in place, the people of the neighborhood knew it. They had reasons for this I would assume. Maybe Trayvons family or friends should have given him a heads up about creeping around like that.
I'm just as upset about a youth losing his life and I'm sad for the other for never having one to look forward too. The whole thing was an unfortunate accident and we will see more of these if people don't take some charge of their teens .... wise up people, this isn't the 70's. Kids can't roam the streets like that any more. You never know when someone is a "Zimmerman".

Yes.. history is always relevant! That's like saying WW2 doesn't matter. I mean...it WAS 70 years ago. What possible relevance could it have now? Kennedy was killed 45 years ago...what possible difference can that make today?
Not in this context. Relevant in a historical sense, important even. NOT as an implication or sarcastic inference of current human behavior. Do we still refer to Nips and Jerries? No.

It was Zimmerman stalking TM. People don't like being followed and intimidated. Trayvon was a KID and like most young men was full of himself. So what if he turned around and confronted Zimmerman? Like I said...That's what I would do...why is it so hard to believe a 17 year old male would do that? That certainly doesn't mean he should be killed. Once again...it was Zimmerman that had the equalizer and HE knew that.
Why would Zimmerman not follow the sheriffs dept's instructions? If he would have, this whole thing wouldn't have happened. Where is Zimmerman's culpability in all this?
What, what? "So what does it matter?" to quote YOU. Trayvon was no 'kid'. He was months away from legal adulthood.

Confronting someone can be done civilized or uncivilized. It doesn't have to be a sucker punch to the nose that drops the other person to the ground. Trayvon was probably astounded and 'oh sh!tting' when he failed to deliver a knockout, which is what I believe he hoped for.

Let's remember Trayvon was chatting up his girlfriend. Is that what 'kids' do when they are quaking in terror? I don't think so.

Fact..TM was walking home armed with a bag of Skittles and ice tea. No weapons..just candy, tea and a cell phone.
Fact: In that case, maybe TM should've kept his hands to himself.

"

George Zimmerman has been accused of domestic violence, tussling with a police officer and for over-speeding.

In 2005, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with "resisting officer with violence" and "battery of law enforcement officer." Both these felonies are considered third-degree. Due to his desperate attempts, the charges were reduced to "resisting officer without violence" and then the only remaining charge was also completely waived off when he entered an alcohol education program.

In the same year (2005), Zimmerman's ex-fiance, Veronica Zuazo, filed a civil motion for a restraining order, alleging domestic violence. In retaliation, Zimmerman filed for a retraining order against Zuazo and both these claims were resolved with both restraining orders granted.

The next year, in 2006, Zimmerman was charged with speeding. However, that case was dismissed because the officer who charged him failed to show up at the court."

I'm working on a new song.

Way down in Florida, a thug met his his fate,

He jumped on top of ole George Zimmerman, and a bullet he then ate,

{chorus}
Another life has ended, another story done, another thug has gambled, in the game that can't won.

They took ole George to court,

and ole George won the case,

Obama and the Black Panthers,

want to start a war involving race,

{chorus}
another life has ended, another story done, another thug has gambled, in the game that can't be won.

now the blacks are rioting,

looking to loot shoes and tv's,

they done forgot about Trayvon,

as they move on down the street,

{chorus}
another life has ended, another story done, another thug has gambled, in the game that can't be won.

now ole hustler Sharpton,

he is really mad,

he thought hit another payday,

but then things went really bad,

{chorus}
another life has ended, another story done, another thug has gambled, in the game that can't be won.

now he yellin and screamin,

this caint's be happenin,

I's gonna call Holder,

and tell'm to git that Mexican!
