Chilli what's your opinion on selecting a president (thread)?
Your input, I'm sure, would be enlightening.

Governors making the decision on a president instead of special interests groups, Super PACS, and "Wall Street".

"Selecting a President" ...thread I started

Since times are changing I think we do need antiquated laws dropped from state and possibly federal manifests.

IMHO - I also think since presidents are no longer determined by popular vote by merit but by money the way of selecting a president should be changed.
My solution to this evident problem is to let the "governors-of-the-states " decide by majority vote in a run off election.
I also think they could work across the aisle better than our current congress does.
Run-of-elections can be run in many different forms and I suggest the governors decide how and which they use.
This, to me, would be a much more efficient method of selecting a national representative for our country. They would certainly have the best interests of the governors and therefore the states and the people of the states
than "WE" currently have.
At present, Governor Christie is chairman of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin, the DGA chairman of the democrats, should be discussing this with their parties.

I would appreciate your input concerning this also.

You have the last 5 posts for the past month.

Maybe if you double or triple your angry posts, you might knock some of your sense into us.

That just might sway the other 80% that your lawn extends to your town, your county, your state and the nation as a whole.

What's not so surprising to me is that the current TEA party is the opposite of what the Boston Tea Party was protesting.

Ahh, the power of propaganda and whitewashing of history is alive and well today.

Democrats can only spend and raise the deficit. Republicans had no success stopping them. The present Tea Party has the right idea but is also slow in straightening out the situation. We need something immediate and stronger in order to keep our present system of Government.
Let's say a "Long Island Tea Party!"

Is that how you characterize yourself so you can cry you are being persecuted?

greymouser has no substance, nothing meaningful, useful, or important to say concerning
anything other than to call people names, make fun-of-them, and infest the forum.

# The Tea Party may not be the answer to all the problems this nation faces but I honestly feel
it represents the people which the other two parties have forgotten about.

I watched the ( replay ) of their 5th Anniversary on C-Span yesterday and
was very impressed.

From the bailouts and stimulus of 2008 to the government takeover of health care, a spark was ignited that grew into a vibrant movement of liberty-loving Americans determined to protect their freedoms from an ever growing federal government. Since early 2009, the modern Tea Party movement has been on a path to educate Americans about the importance of having a constitutionally limited, fiscally responsible government that preserves an environment for free markets to thrive.
