The problem is obvious. The pitcher cannot see the catcher and the umpire cannot see the pitch when the kid is batting.

Hmmm, the boy is fat and what could help him lose the weight is physical activity. Peewee Football would be... physical activity. Let the kid play center, wouldn't have to do much outside of hiking and blocking. Also it's getting him outside and moving which is obviously what he wants since he's trying to sign up. Let the boy play, just because he's big doesn't mean he's going to be good and it'll help him lose some weight in a fun way.

Believe me, I'm trying to lose weight and there are days where it just blows. Making it fun keeps it interesting and doing that for a kid would help him immensely. Psychologically and phsycially.
