This song brings back fond memories of my childhood. Made me happy when I heard it playing on our kitchen radio. We had lots of fun picnics back then. Mom made the greatest home made potato salad and baked beans. I also remember hearing this song at one of the local rod and gun clubs where my dad's employer, had their yearly family picnics. Those were the days - birch beer and beer on tap, hot dogs prepared in beer, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, plenty of chips and pretzels. As a kid, I wasn't a big eater and skinny as a rail. I'm still slim, but I still need to watch my diet. Being a kid in the 50s and 60s was great.

Yes, it was the best time to be growing up. We had tons of fun with relatives and a great family home-life. Where's my time machine-hop in!! One of my feel good songs of that time was "Sugar Shack".

There was another song thread long ago titled songs that make me happy or something like that but I couldn't find it.

I'm so upset about it I can't think of a happy song.

This music brings back memories of Summer picnics and public gatherings. My Grammy who was from Austria loved this song. If you enjoy having a good time, you won't mind this tune no matter what your age. Jagermeister!
