There's no limit to El Rushbo's hypocrisy. He recently pontificated about others' drug dependency (with his own confirmed Oxy addiction) and on someone's weight struggles (with his obvious own porkulence).
He has his own skeletons. I always get a laugh out of his "Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies' since he flunked out of Southeast Missouri State University, in sleepy Cape Girardeau, MO.
He makes me laugh...ALOT. Not with him, at him.

He should make everyone laugh. Here's a fun fact: some folks here believe every word he says!

Hard to say. Even if it does it won't be the end of the world. Its only 2%,$85 billion, out of a projected $3 TRILLION plus in spending. Almost twice as much is wasted and bilked by/from the gov't yearly. Perhaps it will force them to do better oversight on what gets spent where and on what..... The taxpayer can only hope.

Let it happen and see if the world ends like Obama has said it would. After all is said and done we will still spend 15 billion more than we did last year and they call that a cut

The VOTERS are the ones to impose term limits. Congress will never impose one on themselves. THATS why we have elections every 2,4 and 6 years depending on the elected office. The key is be an educated voter, not a lever puller for a name that sound familiar. If you're unhappy with your Congressperson vote them out. If you're happy with the job they're doing vote for them. The problem is.... While as a whole we are disgusted with Congress many are content with the job THEIR individual representitive is doing. Unless there is wholesale turnover in Congress nothing will change. And unless we do that in '14 midterms get ready for more of the same.

According the White House’s figures, Pennsylvania will lose $26.4 million in funding for education, while New Jersey will lose $11.7 million and Delaware will lose $1.4 million.

In addition, the estimated numbers of civilian jobs that could see furloughs are 26,000 for Pennsylvania, 11,000 for New Jersey, and 2,000 for Delaware.

Funding will be cut for some social programs related to daycare, Head Start, meals for seniors, vaccinations for children, and educators who work with the disabled.

These are the cuts chosen by the Administration to inflict economic hardship for political points. Better, smarter cuts could have been made that wouldn't impact people as hard as these seem to be intended. But in the long run perhaps Obama IS making the better choice. His choice of downsizing gov't begins with personel and its gotta start sometime.

And 174 Rep. voted this in. It's both parties fault. And Boehner wanted more.

Ok, I have a stupid question...

I know legislation has to be voted in and I know Obama doesn't have as much control over issues as some might think.

My question is:

Does he have the power as President to stop the sequester dead in it's tracks even though it has been voted in?

Just asking, I really don't know.

No. Congress has the power of the purse strings. What DOES happen in the sequester is that IF it goes forward the President THEN has the line item veto,by law written into the sequestration Bill,on WHERE to make the cuts. So who gets laid off or what gets shut down is up to Obama. Franky I'm amazed that in a budgeted $3.7 trillion to run the gov't he can't spare 2%,or about $84 billion. Our government loses TWICE that amount in just waste/fraud a year...... This is all political brinksmanship and power grabs. There IS no danger of the world coming to an end or the sky falling. Really, the people who DO get furloughed/laid off can rightfully blame the President. HE decides where the cuts occur. The GOP is just making sure Obama plays by the rules HE made, agreed to and signed off on.

Consider this. The gov't is "budgeting" more money to spend NEXT year(this current spending "budget")than it did last year. So,what we are seeing is NOT a cut in the budget. It is a reduction in anticipated growth of spending. Instead of an expected 8% INCREASE,with this loss of 2% due to sequestration, the gov't is ACTUALLY only getting a 6% increase over last years spending.

Bottom line? This sequester claptrap is Washing doo-doo run amok.....

If people don't realize by NOW biden is a first class idiot/moron/retard/fool/dipsh1 t/dumbazz/fool then they ARE indeed kool-aid sippers. Biden has to be even more f**ked up than the Bluegum in the WH..... THAT speaks volumes about who the stoopid voters choose........ Looks like the dumb bastids finally elected the gov't we deserve.
