<quoted text>Rubio was hilarious! Even without the lurching for the water it was weird how he kept nervously touching his face. He's nothing refreshing in the GOP like they try to portray him as. All he did was rage against the false image of Obama that the others rage against. They may never figure out that Topix trolls and Foxhounds are NOT enough to win the presidency.
I'll look for that show about Iraq. I think there were trillion$ of reasons why they had to go to war with Iraq....
It was a strange speech for Rubio. They said he wrote it even before Obamas so thats why it didn't match up..

I thought it was weird that he talked about his parents and Medicare and his schooling but we all know the GOP wants to gut all those programs.

His middle class home is on the market for 675,000 $... that's a nice middle class....lol

The water and the sweating was funny.

If this is the best the GOP has to offer I think they are in trouble.....again.

He's a token Latino for the GOP, Thats it. They are using him for the vote....

A pathetic, but true fact is this: many of our brave servicemen and servicewomen qualify for food stamps and other forms of low-income assistance. Too many of them are also underemployed or unemployed when they return from their 2nd, 5th, 8th deployment or the small business they previously owned has failed while they were serving overseas.
When my Dad returned from serving in WW II, he was treated with the dignity and respect that he deserved. Our current shabby treatment of servicemen and women and hard-working folks who are temporarily in need should be a matter of national disgrace. In most of the most recent legislation proposed, we don't seem to be capable of carving these fine folks out from the others labeled as "lazy bums, slackers, takers..."
You think that's bad - you should've been around when we returned from Vietnam.

I've talked with many Vietnam vets and they have told me how they were treated when they got off the planes in the states.

It's really terrible and sad they (you) had to go through that..

I believe Romney made a similar assessment of middle class. Unbelievable how out of touch these guys are.

As far as token Latinos go, his Cuban heritage- while big in Miami- does not reflect the vast majority of Latinos who are of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent. I don't think they've thought him through and if they're still thinking of him as a candidate in four years, I don't think they're thinking right.

It was unlike anything I've ever seen. There weren't too many people that were happy that we were over there. Getting off the plane was one thing - trying to get a job was entirely different.

But I digress - that was a different time and place.

The way you guys who returned from Vietnam were treated was shameful! I never understood the animosity many showed toward you guys, especially since many of you were drafted. If I'd ever had any dumb ideas about not showing respect, my Dad, who flew as a Reservist with USAF MATS then, would've straightened me out on them like that. I was in college and had a 267 Draft Number, so I didn't serve, but I respect all who did and all who do now. Thanks for your service, sir!

Yes.....Isn't it? Most tend to fall into the uninformed voter catagory who tend to elect people based on celebrity status rather than ability.

No matter how hard you wish or try to make it so,LaPierre isn't the NRA. The MEMBERS are the NRA. Not all agree with everything he says but do agree with his defense of the 2nd Amendment. If it wasn't LaPierre at the helm of the NRA it wouldn't make any difference, you'd try to marginalize who ever it would be.
