A former senator tweeted:

Bqhatevwr

Over the weekend.

Of course most of them have paid staff to do their social media for them.

How do we expect these inept people to accomplish anything?

And HH, Many worked in the coalmines and wanted to organize a Union for fair pay, safety etc. At the meeting all the ones interested were to wear a red bandana...hence the word redneck..

Over the yrs the slang word redneck has been associated with a more negative view of ppl from the South but the most of us know thats just ignorance on the part of the ones using it in a bad way and they just don't know the story.

I heard that 'bandana' version on The History Channel. We used to call it "a farmer tan" though before redneck came into the common vernacular.

I think it was the sunburn on the back of their necks from working long days in their crops.. hence..redneck...And yes their are two versions that I've heard of. My mother is from Ky and I have alot of family there so I know ppl use it as a negative but many don't think that it is at all.

Like me being a Buckeye, well of course I don't look like a buckeye..lol

So my question is:

Do some of you still think Sandyhook is a hoax?

And do you feel foolish?

If they think it's a hoax, they should feel foolish.

Stephen King wrote about this, suggesting that the NRA and it's followers do the clean up at such massacres and see what guns REALLY do to peoples bodies, particularly the little ones.

LOL! Poor babies!

No, I missed that. "LaPew" is such a weasel. King is a good writer, able to portray violence in a fictional manner but, realize that the reality of bullets hitting flesh is nothing anyone should aspire to seeing. Guys like LaPew and various posters here should realize that GSW's are NOT at all like TV. Of course, King might not ever have written about GSW's or posted on Topix so, what the heck does he know?!

Wayne has done an about face on criminal background checks at gun shows. Why would he oppose them now, when he took credit for suggesting them initially?

Oh yeah... A suspicious guy would really wonder if Wayne was an apologist, mouthpiece, pusher, sell-out, shill, toadie for the firearm manufacturers! LOL

What we're doing right now isn't working. How many more 6 and 7 year olds does some firearm extremist need to murder before we try something different?

Bottom line with Fox is that they are a business and when people quit buying Palin's act or Glenn Beck's, Fox has to down-size them.

Jon Stewart had a great bit about Beck's latest venture, building his own city in Idaho and how marxist the whole plan is! Great stuff!
