My Snow Shoe (Siamese) name is Samantha. My roommate named her that after noticing neighbors moved without taking her. She was about two months old at the time and the previous owners called her Chocolate Chip due to her white coat with brown and tan marking throughout.

I call her Mantha. She is incredible and you should hear her growl when something invades our territory. She is four now and not impressed that I moved her to area that has real winters. lol

As a matter of fact, I would challenge that woman from OFFBEAT to tell us anything about CATS that I could not tell them. I've been raising and training cats for over twenty years.

My last Siamese rode on the bicycle with me, went to work with me and loved to ride in the car. I did use a leash with him, but for the most part I didn't need to as he loved walking and didn't want me to get too far ahead of him.

- A rottweiler/doberman mix. His name is Teddy, but I call him dumbass.

- 2 inside cats and 3 or 4 outside cats. All called dumbass.

- Though she's not really a pet, I call my wife dumbass most of the time as well, mainly for taking in all of the these stray stinky cats. LoL.

Had two Maine Coon brothers for almost 17 years until one had to be put down last month. The surviving brother's character has completely changed since then. Cries a lot and wanders around the house looking for him or something. Very sad to see. These guys had never been separated in 17 years. Breaks my heart, I won't do any pets again after the second brother goes. It's just too heavy of an emotional impact on me.

I set myself up for the same thing, 3 bros and a sis.
They have never been separated, I call them my babies. Totally innocent and dumb but they sure do rip through my room and bring me much laughter and joy, lol.

Lucy 'the black lab' taken from the pound as a pup by my son. He and his wife thought they'd raise it as a house dog, Lucy had a different idea. When she got with Fuzzy and Jackie, the poodle terrier and the blood hound exploring the farm there was no getting her back in the house.
They moved from across the lake so I inherited Lucy.

She's very smart and can sense your mood and she knows when I'm not feeling well. She can be 'puppyish' around me and want to play and she knows when I'm not up-to-it. When I'm not feeling well she'll hang around and give me sympathy, which does make me feel better. She's got this thing of laying down in front of me and placing her paw over my foot and depending how I respond what she does next.

She loves going in the lake and swimming and when I feed the fish she feds with them. Even the big cats where 1st afraid of her but since she's black too they accepted the competition. The Georgia Giant blue gills haven't.

Yep!'i' could set and tell ya stories all day about my many pets. I've had everything from a fox to an owl, not to leave out Perfume my pet skunk.
