CLOTHES !!!
Please do not buy your men clothes. Just don't do it. Step away from the men's department. Just step away.
Every time you buy men clothes we end up looking like a wuss who needs to grow a pair.
If you want to make a man happy, two things he will like more than anything else and it won't cost you a penny:
1) ORAL
2) An afternoon of SILENCE
That's it. No cute red sweaters with reindeer dancing around on them, no off-white pleated slacks with cuffs, no fruity looking dress shirts with pink dots, no dorky ties with birds, no argyle socks. You get the idea.
Just a 10-15 minute session of slow oral then an afternoon of silence and you will have a happy man. And if you leave the house for a few hours, he might even clean the house and cook dinner for the kids.
No clothes. Please. No clothes.
Let your men buy their own clothes.

This is a very good question. I think altimately it depends on your man.
Weird answer , but they always need new underwear. Clothes, robe, sleepers. If he is a long term guy. I would hold out on nose clippers, that is offensive.
Music if he is new. Anything electronic. If you can afford a flat screen they seem to love this.
Cheaper stuff. Give him a packet of sexy stuff. Loungirie you would wear for him. Good porn. Lick lotions , that don't taste like shit. Body slick lotions without a nasty, sticky feeling. Blind folds. Get the picture ?
We need to know the dollar amount here.
Ok -Dad gets the porn
Nephew gets lingerie and brother gets lotions and a blind fold. From daughter sister and Aunt. WE-R-Twins, you are so cute at times. I need to think about this one.

I love the flashlights. I think most of us have the night stick flashlight in various colors, and the one just like it for your jeans pocket. We have the one you wind up, and one that works with any battery size. I have two that plug in the wall and act as night lights while they are charging. And when I need one I can never find any of the fu@kers that work. I have a tiny nightstick like one in my purse along with the blue light one on my key ring. I also have a lazar light that we use for stargazing and smaller ones to fool the cat into thinking that Martians have landed.:-) Have seen the credit card type and the snake that you can wrap around your neck and strangle yourself with when it wont light up. I will have to see the pack at home depot and the tripod light. They may just be what we need to top off the collections.

Thank-you all for your suggestions! This has been helpful and fun!:-D

Sounds a little like ya have enough flashlights wtf...just sayin'

It doesn't matter how many tools or flashlights we have, more are always welcome. Actually I do appreciate a pair of thick warm socks for hunting, the kind you can put the warmers in.

What about Whisky's idea of Oral and an afternoon of silence? I would think if you gave any of them the first the second would just naturally follow.

From several marriages and longterm relationships I would say: give him a day with no complaints, fights, whining, gossiping. Don't get drunk or high and get mean. Don't have drunken mean relatives over. If your parents fight all day, keep 'em away. A good meal, smiles, hugs, kisses go a long way and cost little in money and effort. Then again, he may worry if you change the holiday that much...
