For the attention of 'Colorado Chick.'

***

I was going to reply to you..
over on 'Skipper RIP' thread,
particularly to your #286..
but I figured that thread has been
dis-respected enough already.

I understand you may have your grievances
with others here and that much isn't really my
business, but trashing a memorial thread IS..
as it is the business of ALL of us who
posted here with the late Skipper.
As he can't stand up for himself now,
as past friends, we must.

You say you used it to make a surprise
attack on your 'enemies' knowing they'd
assemble there, it is nothing short
of shameful to do that, same as arriving
into a funeral service of a public figure..

with a placard ..
about 'better pay'

Making yourself the No 1 priority
on a memorial thread without respect
for the deceased - shame.

Earlier on, I had the naive idea that .. the memorial thread
which started out so beautifully and drew everyone
together, could have been shown to his family
with pride, and there, they would have seen
how highly he was thought of, among friends, on the Topix
forum he so liked to relax and play on.

Alas and sadly

Not so now..

LOL,

I suppose he would, Vee,
and I know in Jewish tradition
the person is buried immediately...
but taking into account

a 'cyber' wake is. Naturally, a *very different* matter Vee..
for obvious reasons!

and also, I believe in Jewish tradition,
likewise, there's a family get together after burial,
where folks can sit around and remember their dead..

Not so different after all.

Good Day to you and anyone who comes here.
Bright n' breezy here.

I just wanted u to know that someone else read and understood how u felt..

I must be getting really sensitive in my old age, Skipper is the second person this week that I didn't really know but yet felt bad about their death. I found out a lady who works as a cashier around my house passed away from lung cancer, only 50 yrs old. I didn't even know she was sick but it turned out that she was told she had it in Jan and died in March. the nicest person u'd ever meet, I mean a really really sweet person, I went home and cried my d*mn eyes out over her death, didn't know her at all really, just shorts conversations when visiting that store..

its been a bummer week that's for sure.

I am really SO sorry PFfff,

It shows what an admirable, sensitive character
you are, and I 'feel' you..
the fact that two close people passed in
the same period of time makes it all the more
keenly felt;

it seemed unknown to you,
that sweet lady you spoke of,
became part of your life,
and of course you miss her..

and then SKIPPER..

Kinda the same & curious about cyber
friends who pass,
cyber folks become part of our lives
almost without our knowledge!

like most of us here on the threads will
never meet in reality, yet we have a bond!

We are, for all the world, like
spirits communicating with each other
every day!!

I think this is great and says SO much about
humankind... not to be taken for granted..
and yet we do, myself included 'take it for granted'

Peace to you... dear friend.

Happeeeeeeeeeeeeee FRYday!!!!! No work today!!!! Got a commendation at work yesterday from home office and 20 bucks added to my pay check. Recognition is so rare there, so I was quite shocked to say the least. Enjoy, have to go and do some running around.

FYI GRACE..... (They drop you in the ground so fast that if you blink and are still breathing, you are just SOL.) That is why everyone makes a pact, check to see if we are really gone before hand.

Wow!

That sounds ominous (:

Wonder are they afraid the person
will have a change of mind at the
last moment(:

Interesting all the different traditions
associated with death.

No purchase is needed to just come in and talk about the fun days when Nelly's first opened their doors. Dont be shy if you are new, read back from the beginning. Afternoon Grace! I'm sure you've heard about our 19 firefighters that lost their lives yesterday in Yarnell AZ. That's about 140 mi from me. We had another one start up Saturday, closer too me about 60 mi away. What's bad about this one is that it's only accessible by air.
