Extra IRS scrutiny on conservative applications shows 'corruption,' Palin says

(CNN)- Sarah Palin said the Internal Revenue Service's recent scrutiny of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status is a sign of "corruption at the heart of big government" in Washington.

"So many Americans knew this was happening, but many felt defenseless and even helpless against a government that seems to roll along without accountability or sense of obligation to the people it's supposed to serve. These Americans were mocked for being concerned about this, but now we see light shining on the truth, finally," she wrote in an online posting shortly after the IRS acknowledged it made "mistakes" in handling the applications of tea party groups.

Lois Lerner, director of tax exempt organizations for the IRS, said 75 applications were singled out between 2010 and 2012 for extended review because the words "tea party" and "patriot" were included in the groups' names. Those applications were part of approximately 300 which received additional scrutiny during that time.

"Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare," she wrote. "And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family. Forgive me for not trusting these big government promises any more than I trust the White House's latest Benghazi spin or the IRS' fairness."

Palin, the 2012 Republican vice presidential candidate, further wrote, "I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night."

She called for "accountability and a full investigation" as well as a special committee to look into the Benghazi, Libya, attack last September.

This is yet another reason that the IRS should be dis-banned and a federal sales tax put into place.

Is this how are country/Government works now? Hell,We'd be better served by Al "Scarface "Capone. This Dumbo-eared SOB sit's his ass up in the White house and Act like a King while his wife and Kid's ( Who are on the payroll as staffers to Queen Big Butt ) Are Americans so dead that they can't even pick up a Phone and at Least B**CH to their Rep's from their district? Gezzzzz,No outcry from anyone, But come Memorial day y'all will be out their cook'n your dog's and Burgers and acting as if all is well. Well, Ask all those that can't eat those Dog's and Burgers why the Hell they died giving you the responsibility to pick up where they left off. Will America take the time over that weekend to think about those that gave up everything passing on FREEDOM to them and theirs? I Doubt It. As a Whole,Selfish America Makes me sick to my stomach. To think Life and Freedom has been wasted on these people. Tell me, Just where and when did Americans as a whole lose the Backbone and the will to stand up against an Enemy,Even when the Enemy of America is the Present Administration now running our country. Somehow we must and will find a way to save our Constitution & Bill of rights.WE MUST!!

May God Bless America

Intimidation Forced shut down of Tea Party Group:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/...

The progressive-leaning investigative journalism group ProPublica says the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) office that targeted and harassed conservative tax-exempt groups during the 2012 election cycle gave the progressive group nine confidential applications of conservative groups whose tax-exempt status was pending.

The commendable admission lends further evidence to the lengths the IRS went during an election cycle to silence tea party and limited government voices.

ProPublica says the documents the IRS gave them were “not supposed to be made public”:

The same IRS office that deliberately targeted conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status in the run-up to the 2012 election released nine pending confidential applications of conservative groups to ProPublica late last year... In response to a request for the applications for 67 different nonprofits last November, the Cincinnati office of the IRS sent ProPublica applications or documentation for 31 groups. Nine of those applications had not yet been approved—meaning they were not supposed to be made public.(We made sixof thosepublic, after redacting their financial information, deeming that they were newsworthy.)

The group says that "no unapproved applications from liberal groups were sent to ProPublica.”

According to Media Research Center Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor, ProPublica’s financial backers includetop progressive donors:

ProPublica, which recently won its second Pulitzer Prize, initially was given millions of dollars from the Sandler Foundation to “strengthen the progressive infrastructure”–“progressive” being the code word for very liberal. In 2010, it also received a two-year contribution of $125,000 each year from the Open Society Foundations. In case you wonder where that money comes from, the OSF website is www.soros.org . It is a network of more than 30 international foundations, mostly funded by Soros, who has contributed more than $8 billion to those efforts.

WSJ: The IRS Scandal Started At The Top

Was the White House involved in the IRS's targeting of conservatives? No investigation needed to answer that one. Of course it was.

President Obama and Co. are in full deniability mode, noting that the IRS is an "independent" agency and that they knew nothing about its abuse. The media and Congress are sleuthing for some hint that Mr. Obama picked up the phone and sicced the tax dogs on his enemies.
[[ Typical Chicago-land politics ]]
How you think he got to be a senator?
{{ What he's unhappy about is >> he's learned
2 can-play-that-game }}
LOL : I'll bet he's calling them "Lying cheaters"

But that's not how things work in post-Watergate Washington. Mr. Obama didn't need to pick up the phone.
{{ His Czars did it for him - after all }}
"HE's the King!"

All he needed to do was exactly what he did do, in full view, for three years: Publicly suggest that conservative political groups were engaged in nefarious deeds; publicly call out by name political opponents whom he'd like to see harassed; and publicly have his party pressure the IRS to take action.

Mr. Obama now professes shock and outrage that bureaucrats at the IRS did exactly what the president of the United States said was the right and honorable thing to do. "He put a target on our backs, and he's now going to blame the people who are shooting at us?" asks Idaho businessman and longtime Republican donor Frank VanderSloot.

PS: Benghazi "Talking Points" was handled the same way.
