What do y'all think?
I say good luck to those women who don't care that other people point at them and laugh at their 'mutton dressed as lam/ I look frankly ridiculous' wardrobe.

LOL @ m69 & J~W, I agree I have never been the girly type anyways, prefer natural.. & it's sad to see some women trying too hard to hang on to youth...I love being 52 =)

If you want to see examples of this just watch any of the "Real Housewives" reality shows.......lol

Most of these women dress hideously in my opinion.....oh and that stupid show "Basketball wives"......and "Big Ange".....

I cringe when I'm flipping channels and come apon one of those shows.....

Around what age should women stop wearing mini skirts? Even if the size is proper, it just doesn't seem appropriate after a certain age I guess.....

I don't think it is the age but the physical shape of the person that would be the issue.

I can kinda agree.....but even if the physical shape can allow for a mini skirt what if the face looks obviously aged? It kinda throws off the senses....lol.

I mean, I've been at the supermarket and seen some nice shapes from behind and then when you turn the corner on the next aisle you see the face coming at you and you think to yourself "OMG!!".....

Rather than focus on what a person looks like on the outside, why not concentrate on what they are in the inside. I have my own style and so does everyone else. That makes each of us unique. If you like the natural look - fine. If you don't, who cares. Wear what you want cuz you only go around once. Live, Laugh and Love! Live and let live. An example of a shallow person is a news reporter on our local TV station. One of the female reporters has been on that show for many years. She always wore a lot of make-up, partly because she had a skin problem, but she is an attractive woman. This male reporter deliberately tried to show his disapproval. Always giving her weird snooty disgusting looks. I thought it was extremely rude and condescending of him. No matter what his opinion, I thought it really nasty of him to try and "bring her down" on the air. She's a tough cookie though. She never acted like he was bothering her. Good for her. She's an awesome reporter and announcer, and seems to have a very positive attitude, along with self-confidence.

As long as you ditch the mini skirts once your legs become bowed, it's all good.

I say wear what you want to wear. It's a person's life and if they are happy in their choices, so be it.

Life is short, death is long and people will talk about a person no matter what they do or don't do, so as Jimi sang:

I'm the one who's got to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live the way I want to.......

Ok...so I know this paraplegic babe...she's a bit up there in years and, well, quite honestly, all she has ever wanted to do is be able to wear a mini skirt..It has been a heartache for so many years..

so

I tell her, Contswaylo, you wear whatever you want and wear it proud..!...Now, I am burdened by those annoying cell calls at all hours where,,this is so hard to say,,,has taken a suction to the floor in justy ™ the oddest places...It's gotten to the point where I have to carry around one of those soft plastic scrappers that came with my George Foreman grille...I don't regret what I said to her..but daym..

The incidences have let up a bit since I hid her supply of beano...just sayin'

Sorry, but I think when you start pushing 50 it time to grow up a bit. Nothing wrong with wearing good fitting jeans and a tank top, but mini skirts and daisy duke shorts, halter tops? I think it makes an older woman look like she trying to hang on to her youth. You can still look good, sleek, and sexy without looking like a hooker.
I don't care who you are, at 50, gravity rules.
