I lost the use of my dominant left hand. It's a frozen claw missing a thumb. Buttons, zippers, guitars, banjos, lobsters, pistachios, motorcycles, wheelbarrows, and barbells are now in my past. Tying my shoes is a good 15 minutes. It took a while to master shaving. I looked like Linda Blair on Exorcist.
Driving is not a problem. I was taught at sixteen years, "Old School Driving Techniques". I learned to drive a Hurst 4-speed, hold a beer, hold a cigarette, and drive a car with a blonde on my lap. It's funny to watch people wipe out driving just using cell phones. I'd rather be texting on a blonde.

No need here to cut off the remaining hand and setting it on fire!

The doctors wanted to amputate but one doctor saved it and made it look like a hand. He's an artist!

Ha! I forgot about clapping! My son was in a school play and at the end I was slapping the back of my left hand like it was being bad!

If he's going to put that much planning into it, he could have made some $$$,$$$ by video recording the whole thing for sale to one of those tabloid TV shows. Maybe even do it live on a morning news show.

That is like the guy who used a train to cut off a leg. He tied his bad leg to a track, and brought Everclear and cigarettes and a pillow with him. He smoked the cigarettes, drank the Everclear, laid on the pillow, and waited to pass out. He awoke in the same hospital that refused to amputate the first time. This time, they had to finish the job. And the railroad wanted to see if they could bring criminal charges against him, and my guess the reason being it was a preemptive strike in case he tried to sue.

Did they let him know he couldn't have a house or a hotel on the short line..?
