I don't get your point. Are you saying communists pay people and capitalists don't?That doesn't make much sense.

I don't know what he meant to say but I know one thing. With the stocks being artificially inflated, they'd crush at some point and they'd crush hard. You don't want your money to be tied up in there when that happens.

I'm not familiar with "Oblundercare" (sounds like something a child who has suffered a brain injury might come up with) but, with the Affordable Care Act coming in to play and people expecting to be paid living wages along with health care, well, it's a good thing we've got guns to fight with these people who think American workers should be paid and treated fairly! We have a history of going to war with ourselves to keep people and wages down! We can do it again!!

A lot of people on the right think that unions and fair wages are "communist" concepts. Actually, it was unions that made this country strong by building and strengthening the middle class. Odd that some people here would want to tear down what their neighbors have worked for so that the wealthiest of the world could get wealthier. Some people STILL believe in trickle-down economics!

He's trying to say that he has no idea how the American economy or the government are supposed to function. He's just another clown with his hand out.

Truth is that left and right are so severely polarized in their ideas that they're both wrong. It's wrong to say that everybody who lives paycheck to paycheck and makes less than 100,000 per year should die and it's also wrong to advocate and encourage people who sit at home, play video games all day and get free money and food from the government without any obligation to look for work.

That's the Ferret's way of saying that anyone that doesn't agree with Obama is a racist.

It's just a matter of time before the false illusion of recovery crashes again anyhow. Obama's already pressing banks to give loans to those that can't pay them back again.

I don't think those people who get welfare are living near as well as those that get corporate welfare. Currently,@400 people are striking in New York City who make minimum wage at fast food restaurants there. Can you imagine trying to live on $7.25 an hour in NYC? It'd be tough enough in Dayton Ohio. IDK but, I bet welfare 'pays' the same. As it is now, Walmart can pay their workers little enough that they qualify for medicare and such. And you read people here complaining that the ACA will cost us money! You raise the minimum wage, you get people off of welfare. The corporations are making billions counting on the middleclass to pick up the tab for other people's employment.

What kind of idiot expects to make a living wage at a fast food restaraunt?

Of course, if we just had Sharia Law, there wouldn't be any more bacon burgers, and the calorie count would go down. That might bring the price of a Whopper down to a ver affordable $15.

There's the thing. You absolutely can't support say 4 member family with 7.25.You can't support it with $15.00 either.Even in Dayton,Ohio.Average monthly expenses in Ohio, not considering food are about 1200-1300 and that's on the low side.Average food expenses are about $700 a month. This is what working people are facing each month. On the other hand welfare people(not all but some) live in government housing, which is $50/month.Average welfare check is about $700 and then about $700+ in food stamps. That's considerably more than the pay of a minimum wage worker. This is what bothers me.Why would people want to work if it is unfair like that?

Horse drawn wagons made it possible for people to cross this great country and find wealth and power in the middle of a wilderness.

Over time, we figured out horse drawn wagons were no longer the most effective approach, so we changed to something better.
