May God in His infinite grace bring you peace and comfort during this time of deepest sorrow and may He be with you during your travels. Thank you so much for sharing a bit of you here and most especially for the words that so eloquently defined an illness that robs us of those we hold so dear.
I wanted to thank you for such a fine post..
Hadn't seen you around before.

Thanking also 'School & University'

"I took my leave"
Timely decision
Did ya ever think without sedation the old lady tried to kill her family?
I just want to say,
to you and the other names you write under 'here'

I have NO wish to assist you in destroying this tribute,
So I'll wish you a peaceful 'good day'

You and the other names you write under and LIE under 'here' are a F#%KING riot, Miss Grace. This 'tribute' is tarnished by you..not I.
G'day.
I have one .. And
ONE name only I ever go by..
And have gone by here..
That is the only you see..

Beyond that I have NO control

(or interest) on what you imagine.

WTF?
While she was alive she was lucky to have her.

Now in death she is still lucky to have her to keep her memory alive!!!!!

Understand?!

I loved your poem very touching from the heart..I do so understand I watched my blessed mother go away day by day..I know first hand what that disease does to a person..but I am happy to know that now my mother is in her right mind and walks the streets of gold where one day I will see her again..she worked really hard to get where she is ...love to you in your loss..(hugs)..

Lovely poem, deeply moving and heartfelt.
TY for sharing your story and feelings. So sorry for your loss and the turmoil you describe for her makes me wonder if perhaps passing was a bittersweet release much like love can be at times.

You have my sympathies.

Thanks CC,

All I know is, she, having 'suffered' Alzheimer's for ten
years, and, since
there's no cure for it,

It follows, death, when it came, had to be...a peaceful release

sorry for your loss Grace...my daddy had Alzheimer's & Parkinson's...but with a brother's help, mama was able to care for him at home until last few weeks he went to nursing home...I visited him several times a day & at a point couldn't take seeing my proud strong daddy reduced to what he had become...that night I cried & pleaded for God to take him...I got the call at 3 a.m.

It must be a comfort that you were
SO close .. and helpful to him..
while he lived.

I'm glad he was taken in that way..
peace for him... and for all of you

so sorry Grace...

its true Ola, sometimes death is a relief.
then u feel guilty for thinking that, but its still the best answer when all hope is lost and that person is suffering and not really living at all.
sorry too Ola for ur loss..
