You have a point. That is why I limited it to 200 calories in my example. That is about the same calories as a pack of cheese nabs.

I saw your example in action when it came to an abandoned puppy. You had to feed it by the bite because it would quickly eat too much.

I saw that - the stock that I have is old stuff - 10-15 years. I really don't have the time to play the market. I've never missed a dividend during that time.

All sports stock is a good commodity now.

Now that Houston moved to the AL and is real bad, I can't wait til my team gets their shot at them LOL. I see inter-league play is starting up. We are playing SD. That's just weird.
We have no pitching - none, nadda, zero. Lohse is a 37-year old bum. Axford has a noodle arm. Gallardo is a drunk.

Our team ERA in the 1st inning this year is like a 10.8.

We are 1-9 over the last 10 games.

We have a 4-game series in Pitsburgh followed by a three game set this weekend in St. Louis. We very well could sneak by the Cubs for the basement by Thursday.

<quoted text>So, with OUR Government's enlightenment on recent food labeling and the horrors of trans fats, how on earth would you have known about it otherwise? No smart, educated, good, fabulous person/parent would know any better unless someone stepped up and brought on awareness. Personally, I think Bloomberg is on to something.
Listing the ingredients is absolutely necessary, they shouldn't be able to hide stuff in your food. But Blumberg wasn't the one that came up with that theory, there has been a federal mandate about listing the ingredients for years. What I have problems with is the government deciding that people are morons and need to have someone decide what they are permitted to consume. If the government is going to mandate healthy eating, then they have a very busy time ahead of them. Salt is implicated in (by some estimates) 10% of all deaths in the US. Artificial sweeteners are also a huge health concern, so there goes all the diet drinks. And of course, then they'd have to mandate daily exercise for people. And how far are you willing to let the government intrude into your personal life? Speeding kills 10 of thousands of people every year, so do we outlaw cars with more than 100 horsepower? Of course, smoking would also have to be outlawed, that kills well over 100,000 people every year. And the list goes on and on......

No doubt that many of the biggest companies in the world are in the business of producing unhealthy stuff. Almost all packaged foods are just loaded with salt, preservatives and fats. Even the coffee that places like Starbucks sell are often loaded with hundreds of calories and bunches of fats. Thats why people have to be educated about what they eat. I just have a problem with the government mandating what supposedly free people are permitted to eat.

That is true.
Took in a pup two years ago that had been abandoned, and had to feed it a little at a time until it became adjusted to a steady diet.
But the dog ran out onto the highway and was killed. I don't have any pets anymore, no need, no yard to protect. We have a lock and leave lifestyle now.
I thought you killed it when your boyfriend with the farm deserted you?

All liberals aren't as wide as they are tall. Those jackasses seem to live on Starbuck's lattes and cappuccinos. Hate their coffee myself, tastes like it was burned rather than roasted.

Why does he care what others eat? Is it true what someone said that everyone who cares in the least what people who are not related to them eat are usually certain unsavory things?

<quoted text>Yo, it doesn't take an expert to realize certain foods and food additives are deadly. It takes knowledge, something very few people even care about. I bet most tards don't even read the ingredient labels on food items and some of those labels are skewed by manufacturers on purpose too! Food is making America fat and in many cases, killing Americans prematurely. Remember when we were in grade school? Maybe 1 really fat kid out of 33? What is it now? About half? It's horrible and very sad.

I agree, their coffee always tastes burnt to me, and is way overpriced. And talk about fattening, one cafe Mocha has 60% of the saturated fat a person is supposed to get all day. Oddly enough, Mayor Bloomberg exempted Starbucks from his ban even though most of their stuff is worse than sodas.

i'm truly surprised that the citizens of new York have not surrounded the mayors offices and told him to mind his own business on what they are eating. seriously people where does this guy get off trying to tell people what they can and cannot eat. that's not a politicians job.

So when you lose a foot to Diabetes, it'll be the government's fault that nobody told you that hypo-glycemic people should stay away from sugar?

It's a hypocrital statement to say the government has no business in our business - America loves to blame the government for everything. Not doing enough, doing too much, taking that, not taking this, mandating this, not mandating that...

When did America become a country of whiners and complainers?
